The last few days have been rather interesting for me. Hit the read more button if you want to read me babble a bit about how surprised I am.
Y'know, I really didn't expect The Village Called Respite to get much in the way of views. Dunno why, changelings are kind of a big thing in this fandom, but I've also seen several writers such stories go woefully under viewed despite all the love and care with which they craft their stories (looking at you, Star Origin).
I mean, heck, I'll take it. Glad you guys who read it got a kick out of the characters and setting I'd been playing with for the better part of a year—even if that means Crystal Wishes and Timaeus can gloat over the fact that they were right and I was wrong and I should just listen to whatever they say.
Somewhere, Cryosite and Jondor are readying to kidnap me to work on that TwiDance adventure fic. Actually, Tim is involved in that one too.

Well, that aside, thanks for reading the first couple chapters. I'm gonna try to update every Thursday, so be on the lookout for more of our conniving changeling friends as they try to figure out what to do about how foul Sure Stroke's fear and anxiety taste.
On another note, I just wanna share something with those of you who haven't seen it:
Behold! Sure Stroke in all her purpleness! Rossby Waves did a killer job on this one, I absolutely love how contemplative she looks as she chews on her pencil.
Wonder what she's drawing. Maybe the sunset. Maybe her old home in Cloudsdale. Or maybe she's drawing a pair of mischievous nymphs as they laugh and wrestle one another on the school playground.

3892795 I hope that didn't come across as me feigning surprise. But I have had a few that didn't get near the reception I'd thought/hoped they would—which is totally fine, I understand that it's the nature of the beast.
I just figured that an OC centric cast wouldn't get over as well as, say, my many ship fics (which were all fun to write :D) given that's the sort of thing I'm more known for.

And there are 6 pages of guys who have more than 1 000 people watching them.
ZOMG is not a popularity phenomenon by any means. That is my point I want to get across. Don't get me wrong - he's an awesome writer but he has a lot competition on our side, as it is populated with a lot of dedicated people who write better evry day.
