Persona EG: Official notification of hiatus until April 1st · 12:20am Mar 17th, 2016
Persona EG, and probably ALL my MLP fics, are officially on hiatus until April 1st.
This may also affect the third chapter of Harmony League of Equestria.
This recent spate of writing Miraculous Ladybug fanfiction, I've been thinking hard about it. And I've realized something:
The fact that I've churned out about 40,000 words of Miraculous Ladybug fanfiction in the last ten days is indicative of my having needed a complete change of pace, in terms of writing.
And I like where I am right now with this. It's refreshing and invigorating. So I'm going to keep doing this for a little while.
When Persona EG returns, I'm going to try to advance the update schedule and get more chapters out faster. I'm still going to be writing it in dribs and drabs while I'm on hiatus so that I'll actually have a chapter ready to post when the time comes (and hopefully one or two ready to go behind it), but right now I'm tired of making promises I know I'm not going to keep because I'm just not in the mood to write MLP/Equestria Girls right now.
You've all been patient with me, and I appreciate it, and I must ask you to be patient for just a little while longer. This is what I need to do right now. This is what I want to do right now.
In the meantime, prepare for an onslaught of Miraculous Ladybug fanfiction from me.

So, I guess that you had unknowingly put yourself into a rut by focusing so much on MLP fanfics for so long?
Anyway, I'll wait on reading the Ladybug fanfics you've been doing, since I haven't seen so much as a single episode of the show. (I've skimmed them, but not seriously read them.) You see, my local cable company (Vyve Broadband) doesn't dicker with the production companies when they start wanting more money; instead Vyve just drops their channels. And considering Viacom often hikes their rates, or so I've heard... *shrug*
You're probably wondering why we don't use one of the satellite services. We did, in the past. Won't be doing that again...

As long as you promise it WILL come back, I'll deal with it. I'm not happy with this at all, but I understand the need to do a change of pace. That show must be really amazing if you'e willing to put such a big project on hold for it.
Am I frustrated, yes. Do I hate you for it, no. Am I going to be royally pissed off if this story that I've invest a lot of time following suddenly goes dead, EXTREMELY.
BUT, you said that you'll come back, so I'm just going to have faith that you'll return to it soon, and in the meantime try and get back to some of my works.
I'm still sad that I have to wait so long for the Cancer battle...
First of all, and I cannot stress this enough, I am not trying to badmouth your love of Miraculous Ladybug or your desire to write fanfics about it; it's just that I've been waiting for the next chapter of Persona EG for so long now, and then you tell us that we have to wait even longer, so you can understand why I'm feeling a little frustrated right now; but as a fellow writer, I can sort of understand and respect your feelings right now. In the end, all I really want to know is why you love the show so much.

3811985 Seeing as Nick dropped Ladybug out of nowhere anyway and then shunted it to Nicktoons (it returns on the 26th), you're better off just finding the fansubs of the French run online. Which is what I did and ultimately what most people are doing.

It's just a little break like the one I took back in November, except there's a positive reason behind it this time instead of a total burnout.

On your website, can you sort your works into categories( MLP, Ladybug, etc.)? This would make it easier to find stuff and there isn't just a long, long webpage that crashes my phone's web browser.

It's okay I'm fine with this. You do whatever is best for you. Like I said in a previous blog I only hope you can finish Persona EG before the real world date can pass the in-story date. But you do whatever you feel like doing.
