I've watched most of Vannamelon's pony-themed LPs and find her one of the better voices out there.
I now want to see a crossover of Panzermadels and Hatoful Boyfriend.

To be fair, they've turned pretty much all things into cute moe girls to ogle over.

I watched some guy play Panzermadels for his youtube channel, and it's apparently a parody game.
Although it doesn't seem funny enough to overcome the uncomfortableness of it.

The A-bomb explosion towards the end of the trailer had me trying to turn invisible. (There's satire, there's going "anti-PC" in the name of whatever you see as comedy, and there's being utterly tone-deaf.) I'm guessing the actual game material isn't quite that bad, but I'm not sure I want to find out how close it comes.
Unless Cryaotic does the playthrough, in which case, shell-la-la-BOOM-di-ay.

Katawa Shoujo, the most heartfelt thing to ever come out of 4chan. I know that's rather like saying "the driest part of the ocean," but the game actually deconstructs the usual character archetypes of a dating sim and makes them into fully realized, three-dimensional characters.

The playthrough I saw ended with the main character being arrested for fraternization (they spelled it "fortification") with a tank girl, shipped to a penal batallion, and then dying in the war against "the plane-girls" (not pictured). It made listening to the playthrough while doing other things sort of worthwhile.
It could have been a lot worse.
Also as for Kantai collection, like 55% of my hatred for it is from the anime (of course there's an anime, actually multiple animes) whitewashing the hell out of the whole "Japan in WW2" thing. There's apparently a more historically accurate anime, which I'm vaguely tempted to watch because it seems like it would have to end up making Game of Thrones look like Equestria Girls when you consider how the IJN ended up.

There's actually quite the backstory to it! It comes together very nicely. And the sequel, Hatoful Boyfriend Holiday Star, takes it up a few notches from there by the later episodes.
… yeah. Probably still not your thing though, at a guess. (I still want a copy of Absolute Zero though.)

I have played Katawa Shoujo and I can vouch for this and confirm it.
It's an excellent, heartfelt game, which surprisingly enough takes itself 100% seriously and explores in depth the situations it presents in an adult and considerate manner.
(The basic setup is that the Main Character goes to a school for differently able people-he has a heart condition, which crops up at times-and...he tries to have a relationship with a girl who goes there, while the way they are "damaged" impacts and influences their lives).
I would play it, even if just for the lols.
