HAPPY 2016! Hope you had an awesome 2015 (or at least had some fun moments) and here's to a new year!
Unfortunately, life caught up with me in a big way (aka the end of my college career), so I didn't get as much done this month as I was hoping I would. But that doesn't mean I didn't read at all! After the break is the last few things I finished this year, my year end reading stat for 2015, and a list of works that made it onto my favorites shelf that you may like!
So a small bit of house keeping for myself and you, if you're interested, though I honestly don't blame you if you aren't. To save you from boredom, skip this section and go to the finished section right below it. This is actually about my word count and this is just numbers from here on out. So this month, while doing my calculations for this blog, I went to edit my user page and discovered that I had a negative word count...SOMEHOW. This clearly isn't true, since just this month I completed 30,000+ words, along with some chapters from stories that I'm tracking, one of which is a chapter from Horizons ranging at 30,000 words on it's own. I went back and did the numbers again, only to find that with the new calculations, I had only 'read' 1,000 some odd words. Again, what the hell.
After digging through my two libraries, and doing even more math, I'm at -6000 or so words missing. ...I just don't even anymore. So the only things that I can think could've happened are that a fic disappeared from my library and I have no idea what it was, or I accidentally un-tracked a story.
I also did another calculation on my tracking library: originally, I was subtracting 300,000 words for stories that were in a rewriting process, specifically The Empty Room and My Little Mommies. But doing some quick math, I realized that that only equaled out to 222,715 words. ...so what was the other 134,334? I genuinely don't know. I even combed through everything (again) and couldn't find anything that fit that word count. So since I can't remember why that word count is so high, I have reduced the number I subtract to 222,715 instead of what I was doing. This will inflate my word count total, but since I genuinely don't know what story/stories were taken off to cause such a dramatic discrepancy, I'm going to do it to try and get my numbers back to where they should be.
TL;DR Math is weird and my word count total may be wonky starting from now until I figure out where things went wrong.
EDIT (01/04/2016): Ah, so that's it. RealityCheck left FimFIc and took Nightmare Night and Nyx with him. That explains where like 100,00 words went off my Completed library.
Unfortunately, it seems to have effected that library word count completely. See, last month (November), my word count was at 10,570,711. It now sits at 10,467,808; meaning that I lost around 102,000 words. Doing some more math now sits me at a (more correct) number of 10,647,698. I've fixed everything up to reflect this really weird number fluctuation, though with how I now have a thoroughly screwed up Tracking number, expect next months numbers to vary weirdly.

Also, my word count may be off, due to the author of Mirrored Hearts leaving FimFic, but either they didn't correctly remove their story (as you can see since I'm able to still link to it, and one library that I put it in still lists it as there, but doesn't show it) or it's survived somewhere in the bowls of the servers. Weird, I know. For posterity and how I categorize things, I'm counting it in my Finished library, and noting that there will be a +49,584 added to the word count there to try and fix my numbers.

EDIT (01/04/2016): The below list is now thoroughly not correct thanks to the deletion of what has to be a few stories, so expect the numbers to change when the January 2016 post comes out.
For this month, I completed +35,994 words from 7 completed/cancelled stories, +85,578 including Mirrored Hearts, as it has effectively been put on a long, if not permanent, hiatus/cancellation, +49,872 (at the minimum, not counting stuff that I honestly can't remember reading) words from Tracking stories. This brings my total number of words up to +135,450 at least.
