Need a new editor · 1:50am Oct 14th, 2015

As some people may have noticed, I'm now sitting on a lot of chapters that are unedited. My primary editor is all alone, editing my stories while having more things lumping on him that at this rate, my posting will outstrip his editing. So that means I'm going to need a new editor. So... anyone want to help this poor writer and his sole editor out?
To inform those that may have questions, the editing would be done through google docs, and the editing is basically fixing the grammar issues and the like that I have. So... how much editing there has to be done is in the eyes of the beholder.
Editors have been selected, thank you to all those that volunteered.

Depends on the type of editing you need, if its minor stuff, yeah, I might be able to.

Same as midnight, though if you need a hardcore editor I can do that I just take awhile (2-3 days a chapter for deep editing)

I can help but only if you allow me too

Christ, just post the Google Docs link(s) with suggestions enabled for the older unedited chapters and I’ll give as many as I can be bothered the once over.

My grammar isn't the best, but I can preread for you. I could spot what grammar I can, while I'm at it.

I'd be happy to help, being a decently-rounded editor with experience editing on multiple levels (grammar, scene, and plot).

I'm a college engineering student (which both helps and hinders editing), as I have to plan ahead* (but a reasonably consistent update schedule and/or reasonable notice of progress will mostly negate that), but I have a good grasp of how things can work and how to explain those types of things. Somewhat related to this is the fact that I'm a total nerd (on a related note, anticipation for Stellaris** means I have interstellar empires and their technology on the mind somewhat often).

As an editor, I'll probably come on rather strong initially, though that tends to vary between stories and with the chapter's content. I'm also respectable at finding plot holes, both large and small. I use GDocs quite well, and I use regular Google to reference and research things as needed. I am mostly unable to edit too late into the night; since after 1am est the student center—and other places with usable wifi—are closed (usually I try to get to sleep an hour or so before 1 am, though).

Do note that I'm not well-watched on the show (too much singing), but I do keep up to date on what happens in the episodes via the wiki, and it's yet to be an issue. The most effective methods of communication with me are Skype and Fimfiction, both of which i may respond to on my iPhone (this post, for instance, is by iPhone, so it's not as well-organized as it could have been). If you're interested, I can go into more detail via PM as desired.

*My week is substantially heavier towards the first half of it, so that's when I would require more planning, while the rest of the week I'm more available.
**A grand strategy game by Paradox Interactive that's not coming out for a while, but a lot of people, myself included, are hyped about. I'm a grand strategy junkie at heart.

How about you just post the links on one ginormous blog post and set it to share all with suggestions which you can look over and choose?

I'll throw my hat into the ring on this. GDocs is not a problem for me.

I'm not the greatest editor in the world (that honor goes to my non-brony friend who I make edit all my sad writing attempts at pony-words!) but I feel I can cover the basics of spelling, grammar, and the odd plot point here and there. And I've enjoyed your story so far, it would be a chance for me to start giving back to you.

Lemmie know!

Wow that's a lot of volunteers. Screw it, I'll join the Pre-reader Patrol. Only if you want me to, that is.

Seems you already have quite the queue. If you decide to want me, my resume is on my page.

While I'm not the best at finding mistakes such as misused commas, I am great at finding misspelled words and odd grammar placement. The only problem I have is going back to reread chapters. (It just bugs me to a certain extent) If you would have me I could help find problems with any of the new chapters. I'm sure that there are other people more qualified to edit for you then I am, but if you would have me then all you need to do is pm me here on fimfiction and I'll get back with you as soon as I can.

I have decent editing skills. I can spot plotholes and SPaG mistakes. Maybe you could make a sort of PM list, and upload the story to a Gdocs file, and send all the other editors a link? I still have school work, so I won't be able to be a fulltime editor.

What classes are you taking this term? I never much liked heat transfer.

3521702 Generic freshman courses.

That blows, though the math ones can be fun if you get a good professor.

3521790 Calculus is boring for now, because I've already learned the material.

I skipped Calc 1 and had to retake Calc 2 due to not having learned trig substitution. That was literally the only class I used it in, and later in DE because that teacher liked to throw everything at the students.
