Ridiculous crossovers are magic · 1:13am Jun 25th, 2015

Okay, maybe three people here are going to appreciate this, but I saw it offsite and have to signal-boost it to my pony peeps (which is you folks; FIMFic is my only real MLP haunt).

Someone over on Twitter just made my week — they mashed up the MLP pseudo-RP account @RoyalNightShift with the parody Taylor Swift infosec account @SwiftOnSecurity.

The result is "Infosec Princess Luna", @ShiftOnSecurity, which is right smack in the middle of that perfect sweet spot of hardcore technological nerdery and … well, My Little Pony. Sample one-liners:

Met a unicorn today who STILL has not patched #HeartBleed. At this point I am simply impressed that she has not perished of exsanguination.

"Luna," you ask, "how were you able to escape from the moon?" Until my return, the Elements of Harmony's banishment key was only 56-bit DES.

"Then why did it take you 1000 years to escape?" Let's see YOU brute-force DES with a moonrock-based finite state machine.

That is both insane and brilliant.

Thank you for sharing this.

Time to start searching the moon for a giant redstone computer.

I'd follow this if I did the whole Twitter thing.

Woooooooow
I don't know what to say.

Followed so hard.

Well, everybody knows that midnight is when the best coding gets done...

Now for Dotted Line to call them back, screaming about his "wife" in an oneiromantic coma and threatening lawsuits.

Oh please tell me Ghost has been notified. :rainbowkiss:

"Another night, another patch for a Flash-based exploit. How many times do I have to tell Twilight Sparkle that he is inherently insecure?"

I also noticed the Dotted Line reference; someone is a Ghost of Heraclitus fan.

Ezn

I never expected that. But I appreciate it.

Awesome. MLP goes well with general nerdery. :twistnerd:

Hah, that's great!

3179539 You used to be able to follow Twitter feeds via RSS, but they killed that functionality a while back. I took this to mean that Twitter wants to be an isolated bubble with no contact with the outside world, and has obliged it by ignoring it ever since.

Still, this looks like fun.

It's times like these that I feel like I'm really missing out by not paying Twitter more attention.

Yessssssss. :rainbowkiss:

Every time I think we just MIGHT have exhausted everything possible to ponify, Rule 34p comes back swinging! There is a pony version of "it" for any value of possible value of "it." I love the internet! :pinkiehappy:

Things like this are the reason I even have a Twitter account
