As of May 10, 2015, here's the state of Rule 34:
Pokemon still holds the lead with 95,340 images. 1,523 new explicit images were added during April.
My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is in second place with 69,833 images. 1,516 new explicit images were added during April.
Touhou is in third place with 56,703 images. 1,016 new explicit images were added during April.
DC Comics is in fourth place with 26,243 images. 153 new explicit images were added during April.
Street Fighter is in fifth place with 21,024 images. 188 new explicit images were added during April.
Naruto is in sixth place with 20,661 images. 359 new explicit images were added during April.
Marvel Comics is in seventh place with 19,991 images. 273 new explicit images were added during April.
Sonic Team is in eighth place with 19,804 images. 258 new explicit images were added during April.
Digimon is in ninth place with 14,636 images. 183 new explicit images were added during April.
Super Mario Bros is in tenth place with 14,417 images. 250 new explicit images were added during April.
First of all, I should note that I'll no longer be including the percentage increase along with the data. It's not reflected in any of the charts, so may as well leave it out. It also makes things less cluttered.
This was the first time Touhou has been able to generate more than 1,000 images since June 2014! It's been a while since I gave an overview of the series. For those who would like a refresher, here's an introduction to Touhou.
Now that we've gone over the monthly update for the top ten porn producers, it's time to analyze the latest data regarding Rule 34 images for the mane six.
As of May 10, 2015, here's the state of Rule 34 for the mane six, according to Rule34.paheal.net:
Twilight Sparkle
has 10,274 images. 247 explicit images were added during April.
Rainbow Dash
has 8,392 images. 162 explicit images were added during April.
Fluttershy
has 8,183 images. 160 explicit images were added during April.
Pinkie Pie
has 7,253 images. 128 explicit images were added during April.
Rarity
has 6,802 images. 161 explicit images were added during April.
Applejack
has 6,627 images. 154 explicit images were added during April.
For the first time in eight months, Rainbow Dash generated more porn than Fluttershy! It was only two more images, but still!

Last year, I condemned anyone who sexually abused and exploited children, while later dismissing the notion of giving human rights to cartoon characters. While researching Steven Universe, I learned more about Rebecca Sugar's fetishes; specifically her penchant for preteen porn. I think it's worth revisiting this topic by tackling a part of cinema history that some would consider disturbing: The early films of Shirley Temple.
Modern day audiences are likely to find the image of Shirley Temple riding Jack Haley perverse. Haley is on his hands and knees, straddled by the child, who whips a riding crop against his butt while holding a leather strap around his neck. Temple's face wears an expression which seems too knowing for such a young girl. Her half-closed eyes look down slyly at Haley, while her lips turn up into a disconcerting grin. How else could this image be interpreted other than a pedophilic fantasy of domination and submission? 
EDIT: The simple answer is that in the 1930s, the image of a girl playing "horsie" with a grown man was the epitome of innocence. It's all a matter of perspective.
Temple's early films contained even more disturbing content.
The “Baby Burlesks” were “a cynical exploitation of our childish innocence,” Temple wrote in her autobiography, Child Star, adding that they “occasionally were racist and sexist.”
The “Baby Burlesks” were shorts, played before the main attraction. They satirized popular movies: “What Price Glory?,” “The Front Page,” “The Covered Wagon.” The joke was that the actors were all under the age of five. Historian John Kasson writes of the “Burlesks”: “The intended humor of these shorts, which seems exceedingly strained to modern viewers, rests on the difference between adult knowledge, desires, motives, and pleasures, and childhood innocence.”
Temple made eight “Baby Burlesks” and four “Frolics of Youth” shorts for Educational Films Corporation in 1932 and 1933, when she was 4 and 5. (Her real star turn was in “Stand Up and Cheer,” in 1934.)
In “War Babies,” from 1932, three-year-old Temple gets her first speaking role as an exotic dancer in a bar for soldiers, where she wiggles around in a little off-the-shoulder top, ogled by shirtless toddlers playing “army men” with big safety pins in their diapers. Two soldiers give her lollipops, implying that she's also a prostitute. (they both call her “baby,” she calls her lover “mon cher Capitan.”) She also gets her first onscreen kiss before the age of five.
There’s also “Polly Tix in Washington,” which four-year-old Shirley Temple seems to be playing some kind of prostitute/mistress to a “Senator,” also played by a pre-schooler. Still no shirts for the boys, but this time we get big hats and capes for the Senators. When we first meet Shirley, she is wearing a little bra and filing her nails when she gets a phone call from a top-hat wearing toddler telling her to go seduce a Senator to “get him to work.” She walks in and greets the senator draped in pearls saying she’s been sent to “entertain” him.
More than anything, the “Burlesks” leaned on sexuality to drive the joke home. In “Kid in Africa,” Shirley is a clueless missionary nicknamed “Madam Cradlebait.” Madam Cradlebait. In its representation of both the “porters” and the “cannibals,” played by African-American children, the short is uncomfortably racist. Charles Lamont, the director, was cruel to all of his young stars. Temple recorded in her autobiography that Lamont kept a soundproof box with a block of ice in it, and would threaten to confine naughty children inside. What is this, Matilda?
But he was perhaps cruelest to the young black actors: Lamont strung a tripwire across the set at shin level to the children playing the “cannibals,” so that they’d fall down more effectively when “shot” by arrows.
Temple’s wide appeal for Depression-era audiences was both unique and complex. Unparalleled in popularity, Temple was the reigning box office draw between 1935 and 1938, a startling fact when one remembers these as the same years during which adult female leading ladies such as Katharine Hepburn and Greta Garbo reigned on American screens. Although she was famous by the age of four and dubbed “Little Miss Miracle” at six, Temple’s popularity and fortunes had already begun to decline by the time she was ten.
My favorite Shirley Temple film is the one where she's a precocious serial killer.

Okay, that's not what really happened. But these scenes look pretty disturbing out of context, don't they?

Short and sweet but that's never a bad thing. Interesting to see the Shirley Temple piece, but I feel you come across as overly condemning. Yes there are definitely uncomfortable ideas brought up here, but it sort of felt like rather than opening this to discussion, you simply dismiss it and move on.
I'll chalk it up to simply having less there than usual, so it stands out.
Still intriguing to see and good luck on the comic, the art looks beautiful!

There's a lot more to discuss here. But I didn't have the time now to do it justice. People have written essays comparing Shirley Temple films to Birth of a Nation. An African American dancing with an adult white woman would've been scandalous in the 1930s. By making the dancing partner Shirley Temple, the sexual implications were removed. The African Americans in Shirley Temple films were often emasculated and made subservient to her. But this wasn't limited to one race. Nearly all men are emasculated in Shirley Temple films. She puts herself in a position of superiority where she saves the day. This was a sort of escapist fantasy for men, who felt emasculated during the great depression and unable to find work. Shirley Temple was the original Brony phenomenon. She was "intended" for young girls, but captured the heart of adult men, too. They wanted a Shirley Temple in their life to fix their problems. I may do an in-depth write up comparing Shirley Temple to Birth of a Nation and the Brony Phenomenon; but for know, I hope you're content with the Baby Burlesks history.
