Okay, time to put in my two cents.
I... I think I'm in love. Sure, there are some things that seem a little weird (like the new system for showing if a story is incomplete/complete) but I have yet to find something I legitimately hate about this update. The bookshelves, the new layout, the customization. It's awesome!
And the new stats system for stories. You can choose to display by month or by chapter. I... I just can't. Did you know you can find out your stories rating on the site now too?!
Your Human and You is ranked 4,904th on Fimfiction. It is the 56th longest story and can be found in 7,029 bookshelves

Curious: Is anyone else having issues editing the title of groups? I can't move the window and the top part is stuck underneath the address bar. F11 doesn't help.

I don't know where to see the sex/gore tags anymore myself. But holy crud is the new shelf system nice. Now I'm going to spend the next couple of hours I should be writing or sleeping rearranging my collection. Yay?

I know and like inclusion, but there's no where I can actually tell how many or who has favourited my story in the past. I like seeing my favourites as it gives me a scope of my readership I can't get from anywhere else

Part of it obviously has to do with the whole public/private/unlisted schtick; kinda defeats the purpose of having private (and to a lesser extent, unlisted) shelves if you don’t get the privacy those options are all about.

I guess that's true, but I'd at least like to know how many people favourite my story, otherwise what is the point of it all? I can't tell whether I'm doing good or not based on just likes alone
The new library system is very nice.
The only part I hate is that I'm to lazy to try and figure out how everything works, I liked the simplicity of the old system better... But that's probably because that's what I'm used too. Oh well, time to adapt. I think it would be nicer too if they kept things in the group, I mean look at your blog posts, that's kinda confusing for me. It's a crying Twilight with a great, big burger on top. I don't even understand anymore.

Indeed. Total numbers of favourites should still be displayed, and anyone who adds it to a public shelf isn’t going to care if an author knows they liked their work, but it appears Knighty didn’t think that through. Sorta like how he decided to change the colours of some tags for shits and giggles.

So theoretically I could make a bunch of bookshelves, and put a story on all of them for some nefarious purpose.
I still want my favorites tab back and separated out of the library tab.
Oh... and can someone tell me the difference in tracking and read later? They kind of feel like the same thing to me.

Personally, it's aesthetically pleasing to me but I'm having some problems browsing the site for new stories on my mobile... However that's the only thing I have wrong with the site update so far. I personally think it's just a few bugs that'll be worked out in no time.
I love the layout and this new book library for our favorites is a godsend. Now if they could fix the problems with the mobile site.
yeah i kinda like it so far, cant complain, its just something we got to get used to, it looks better thats for sure, keep the fic train rolling
Only real complaint I have is that they seem to have done away with the "Mark All Read" button. Or at least, I'm too stupid to find it. I read these stories on my Kindle, so anytime yours or another incomplete favorite of mine would update, I'd just download the epub, pop it on there, then click the "Mark All Read" button until the next update. The ability to download the epub directly from the favorites page is awesome, but if I'm gonna have to go to the story's page anyway to mark the chapter read, it's a bit of an extraneous function.
Edit: Oh, and the update apparently bricked bbcode for epub downloads, so now italics and bold won't work when converting epub files with Calibre. Serves me right for writing a story revolving around italicized flashbacks, I guess...

I find this update as counter-intuitive and a DOWNGRADE from the previous Fimfiction user interface. I have to get my damn favorites list to have VERY specific parameters JUST to see all (but THREE, which I somehow can't locate whatsoever) my favorite stories, regardless of all of their chapters being read or not. Just...UGH. This is like when Google updated YouTube and changed EVERYTHING. I just don't like this, and don't hate on me just because I have an opinion (because people are gonna do it, anyways)
The libary functions really are amazing, now if only I could get rid of 1 story in my top 10 list containing 11 stories.
