"When the Stars Align" is over. Starburst and Starfall can be said to be (non-canonicly to Kilala's Next Generation universe) officially shipped. So... What now?
Do I plan to write a sequel? Do I plan to write a triquel? Do I plan to write a prequel?
OF COURSE!
I had way too much fun working with Kilala and her characters and with writing Starfall to stop this now. Heck, I hadn't even explained everything about Starfall's past, hadn't I? I might take a little break, but I plan to continue this story.
Now, however, I must ask you something. The sequel would be about as long as When the Stars Align, and I am not sure if that is a good think. So... would you rather prefer me to split it up into several smaller stories? Each, hopefully, with a separe cover? I know some of you had been pestering Kilala to make more art of Starfall, so I think this would make you happy XD However, there might be some problems with that, which could complicate and deley next parts...
So, what would seem better for you? Have a long sequel, or several smaller ones?
Very long sequel please. Make it about 20% longer than the first one.
If it's going to be romance/adventure, make it a long fic. Slice of life stories work well as short fics, though. Long or short, I'm already looking forward to it, seeing how engaging this one has been. I must admit, up 'til now I've preferred the Starburst/Del shipping. Love to see something on how the Del/Candy thing took off...

. It takes a lot less effort to make a long sequel than it does to make multiple short sequels considering you have to come up with new titles, cover arts(optional), etc. so ya long sequel defiantly seems best, to me anyways

I like to see s bunch of one shots depicting moments in starfall and starburts relationship like say a pregnancy scare or proposal (im a sucker for those kind of stories) but if you write a long story i also be happy with a prequel involving more of starfalls back story it has some potential for some pretty damn epic moments

Do you want to make a story with the same level of dedication you used on 'When The Stars Align'?
Are you willing to hear ideas or concepts of other authors and try to incorporate them into the story?
Will you suffer sleepless nights while trying to finish writing a chapter?
Is the frustration of a writers block really worth the effort when your mind can't make your creative juices flow and write something interesting?
Or have you finally bitten something you can't chew well enough to swallow it?
As I said before mon ami, it all depends on what you choose to do next

Have a primary long sequel, and some shorter side stories about stuff that happens to them.

Also, Starfall´s talent for dark magic should be a big plot point; even with the criminal charges removed, I cannot imagine Twilight, Celestia or Luna simply letting the colt do as a please: they probably will insist in putting him under their care (and watch).

I say both. Write a long squeal but make it open enough you can have little fluffy things floating around if a short story comes to mind.
Just because Starburst and Starfall are together now, doesn't mean that he won't prank her every once in a while. You can write a long sequel and several short one, maybe one about a prank war they did after Starfall did something to Starburst's royal guard armor. Like say this:

I prefer a long sequel, but a bunch of shorter stories isn't too bad either. Besides, I like the cover art, but it's not a huge part of my story-reading experience.

When I saw "To be continued", I jumped for joy! I certainly did not expect it!
I feel that a long sequel could do amazing things, but at the same time after a bit you could end up getting locked into the story line if you have the storyline in forced places, then if you get some creative ideas, you might be locked.

Long sequel, and little side stories. Kinda like side stories filling gaps between the main stories.
I think it would be best to do several one-shots (say 3-6) and one long sequel. The one-shots can be about things like Starburst's friends taking great pleasure about the fact that she and Starfall are now together, Valient Heart's reaction and protectiveness of Starburst form Starfall, and Eris showing up. As for the long sequel, I say it be about the two Stars confronting that 'Master' who enslaved Starfall when he was young. I know that we probably won't know his name, but I think a guy like that would probably uses many names to avoid the law, like the one I gave him: Zarren Zhan (3 guesses where I came up with that). I hope you make your decisions soon.

It was cute the first few times, but c'mon: the colt knows dark magic, had to find a loophole in his orders to burn his flank off to free himself from his control... as mentioned in the last chapter, he had some friends in the circus, and as mentioned before, all were treated the same way. So what do you think the first thing he did was?

you managed to get both of these stories on the featured board and i think that you should do more than one sequel i think if you can get the next one on the featured board you should keep writing them.

Personally, I don't really care about the length of the story. I think you should just do what you think would work best.
