    Yes I am alive

Sorry I've been so absent as of late. My new project kinda absorbed me a bit :twilightsheepish: Actually, for the past year ever since I decided to write a Warriors fanfiction I couldn't really think about much else as far as writing is concerned, even right now.

    It's been 10 years!

Yeah, it's been 10 years since I've made an account on this website and published the first two chapters of Rebirth of the Damned, my first story (you can't tell now because back then when you would edit chapters and save them then it would overwrite the date of publication).

Yes I am alive 2 · 2:09pm Jul 9th, 2023

Really, really sorry about being so quiet as of late. Been busy with work and other stuff, and that non-pony story.

I do not plan to abandon my stories here, I will return to them one day. It's just...I really can't seem to focus on writing anything else beside Warriors fanfiction. That one Rebirth of the Damned chapter I wrote a few months ago, it was the shortest chapter I wrote for that story in like 8 years and it still took me over a month to finish, that's how unfocused I seem to be. Until I manage to shift my focus from cats back to ponies I don't think I would be very productive trying to write my stories here.

I will try to write something before the end of the year, but we'll see how it goes.

As for my Warriors fanfiction, recently published chapter 7, I'm slowly getting more readers^^ Here's a link if anybody wants to check it out^^

In other news, hm... Been playing PS5 games, after God of War I played Dead Space Remake, Hogwarts Legacy, Resident Evil 4 remake. On Switch, I finished Pokemon Violet (on Nuzlocke actually, but due to how different the newer games are in comparison to previous ones I'm not sure if the way I caught Pokemon could count as Nuzlocke) and Legends Arceus, and played a little bit of Zelda Breath of the Wild but I'm still far away from finishing it and playing Tears of the Kingdom. On PC, I played a bit of WoW, in Wrath Classic I leveled up my death knight to max level and took it raiding with my guild, in retail I got my orc warlock to max level as next patch will allow some new customization options for warlock pets and due to orc heritage questline, during which you can pick which clan you belong to (sadly you can't pick Shadowmoon Clan as it doesn't exist anymore apparently and I always pictured that character of mine being from that Clan, and obviously Stormreavers Clan isn't an option, so I chose Bleeding Hollow Clan, seems like the Clan a warlock would fit in the most); also, demonology warlock is SUPER FUN^^ Also played Crusader Kings 3, getting achievements, finished playing as Emperor of Italia, managed to restore Roman Empire with only like 10 years to spare before endgame, then new game as French count became Emperor of Francia, then took kingdom of Thessaloniki to get a rare achievement, then decided to play as Basileus of Bizantine Empire, since the game starts in second half of IX century Bizantine Empire isn't all that great actually so it was still a challenge. Still, already managed to get all the lands I require to restore Roman Empire, buuut my ruler died before I got the last county and to restore Roman Empire you also need prestige, so building that up is going to take a while.

Aaand... been playing Witcher 3^^ Some of you might recall last year I played through the first two Witcher games, wanting to transfer my save file through the trilogy, but something failed when I transferred it to the third game and didn't realize until I played 20 hours, resulting in me rage quitting. Well, this time it worked, and I've been playing it for almost 90 hours now^^ Having tons of fun so far, getting close to endgame, then will have the two DLC to play (and one of them I hadn't actually played before, so this will be exciting^^)

What will I play next? Well, I've been craving to play Fallout New Vegas again actually, although instead of trying to recreate one of some characters from FOE (both my own and other people's) there with stats and skills (last time I tried to play as Misery, the Raider Queen who I create for some backstory stuff in Infinite Potential, thought I might finally do the Legion storyline with her), I thought about just playing how I usually start playing Fallout games and just try to have fun making a super character, and then... maybe give Frontier a try with him :twilightsheepish:

Also, been thinking about going back to WoW Classic, but, CLASSIC Classic, the Vanilla. I love retail and I love Wrath, but there is something about the 2004-2006 WoW that really makes it feel like an RPG with how much you have to do there, you know? Everything you do there, level up, level up your profession, learn recipes, get items, it all feels EARNED, you know? And all of the content is already there, I won't have to worry about going there to play every few months in fear of getting behind content like in retail or "ongoing Classic", making it more like normal, replayable game that you can get back to when you want. Sadly though, while my max level warlock is still there as I copied it when Classic TBC started, all my other characters, including my level 47 hunter with max cooking and Broken Tooth as pet (pet with highest attack speed in Vanilla) are gone :/ And since I was most excited at the thought of getting that hunter to max level content, well, this would take a while.

I am also looking forward to some new games this year for PS5, namely Alone in the Dark remake, Alan Wake 2, and Silent Hill 2 remake^^

As for tv shows, I've watched Star Trek: Lower Decks, really fun, feels like Archer kinda but in Star Trek, really fun series. Oh, also watched some documentary series on Netflix, Rome (first season Kommodus, second season Caesar, third season Caligula, weird order but pretty interesting) and The Last Tsars, both were really interesting^^

Been reading Warriors obviously, but also picked up Lord of the Rings, been years since I last read it, and... Anabasis of Alexander, book written in 2nd century that survived mostly intact to present time, the writer used writings of Ptolemy (Alexander's general and later king of Egypt) and another Greek officer as sources as well as many notes and letter that still existed back in those days to write a book about Alexander's wars, it's really interesting^^ I'm thinking about getting the books written by Julius Caesar next, the one about war in Gaul and the civil war^^

Okay, that's all the update I have I think, hope you all are doing great and that you will forgive me for this long break, I really do plan to come back to writing ponies, I promise :twilightblush: See ya^^

Oh! Oh hey Borsuq! It's been a while since I've last been on here. It looks like my own interest in ponies has been waning somewhat in the past years. I find myself coming back to the site less and less, y'know? Real-life worries, changing priorities, all that jazz has been really pushing me away from MLP. However, the Fanfictions here on FiMfiction? Yeah, those have always been amazing. I keep coming back to check up on and read the stories I genuinely love and admire. Like the Blueblood Papers: Bound By Blood. Or The Immortal Dream!

Or Fallout: Equestria - Infinite Potential.

Yes. This is and has always been one of my favourites. The shenanigans Angel gets up to are just so well written. It's an absolutely excellent piece of literature, and it's been a cold and lonely year since the last update. However!

However.

It's- This is going to be painful for me to say this, but- It's okay if the story doesn't get continued. It is okay. You have a real life to take care of. You are currently writing another story! About Warrior Cats! Which in and of itself is awesome! Worrying about the Fic here should really be the last thing on your mind. Furthermore! When has forcing oneself to write something they have little to no enthusiasm for ever lead to some good writing? And yes, that might not actually be the case for you, I'm not some kind of almighty, omniscient telepath (if that were the case, I'd have found a job by now :moustache:). You can safely and without worry focus on the Cats story, I and all the others that are still waiting and hoping will live if you decide to stop uploading for a while. We have survived ONE year, haven't we? I think I have a few more in me. :trollestia:

All in all, do what you WANT to do, not what you feel like you SHOULD do. You're a free man, and more than talented enough to grow an audience, no matter what you write. The time you've waste- SPENT WISELY here on FiMfiction is a gift you gave to all of us. A gift shouldn't be something that is to be given indefinitely, ye? Please, no stress. You're good a person for that to be a part of your life.

ALSO IF YOU GIVE FRONTIERS A TRY, AVOID THE NCR QUESTLINE AS MUCH AS YOU CAN, BECAUSE HOLY SHITE IT'S GOING TO GIVE YOU A BY-HORRID-WRITING-CAUSED ANEURYSM. Please, save yourself that fate. It has claimed too many of my friends already. :raritydespair:

Glad to hear of your continued not-dead-ness. :)

I'm already pretty behind on FIMFiction myself at the moment, as evidenced by how late I'm getting to this blog post, so no worries on my account, at least, regarding the delays to story updates from you. A nice long chapter of Infinite Potential would get put near the top of the stack (especially if you wanted me to look it over pre-posting) and, I expect, be quite enjoyed, but I'm at basically no risk of not having any good ponyfic to read. And, you know, finite time available for me, too.

Good luck with your writing in general!
And with gaming. :)

I don't recall, have you tried Equestria at War? I have, by now, though only one game of it so far (Well. Two games, technically, but the first I lost well before achieving my objectives. Technically the second I got through using a console command, too, but the singular's because it was _one_ console command almost at the end to trigger an event which I discovered, late in my playthrough, had much more stringent requirements than I'd thought (more stringent than they perhaps should be, I think) and which I decided it _probably_ made enough sense to still have happen.), and so can personally recommend it. Not for everyone, of course, but you mention in this very post liking CKIII, so I thought I'd mention it.

I've also been doing another playthrough of NV, though it's been going slowly. So many other things taking up my time... Still, I think it's been going well. This is, IIRC, the first time I've done the Boomers questline before actually getting to Vegas (my most recent save is shortly after entering Freeside for the first time), but I thought it'd be interesting and made sense for the character I was playing.

I rather you take your time and have fun then be pressured and get burned out. I have no problem waiting.
