EQD's Episode Project. · 6:52pm Mar 20th, 2012
This is the only time that I'll speak up in shameless promotion of one of my works.
Everypony will have seen by now, the post on EqD regarding the possibility of making a legit quality episode. For that, a story will be needed.
I've allready skimmed the comments of that samesaid post and have seen a number of them talking about C&A as a possibility. However, I don't see that really working, if I may be honest. The Voice Drama project is nearly ready to release the first chapter of that anyways.
Instead, I want to direct attention to the more 'Episode-like' fic of mine, 'Ah Ain't Got no Ack-cent'. I don't know exactly how EqD will go about choosing what story, besides from poll posts, but if you can... would you mind voting for me? In particular, 'Ack-cent'. I know C&A is really popular, but I honestly feel that Ack-cent has the better chance of my works, in being made into a good one-shot episode. I'm more than willing to trim it down, when it comes right down to it.
So, uhm. Yeah. That's my request. If you've all enjoyed my works thus far, and wouldn't mind seeing something of mine brought to life... then turn your attention to 'Ah Ain't Got no Ack-cent'. Y'all come back now, y'hear?
Hey, something's gonna happen that I said so many times probably should! I read the story in question, and yeah, it should definitely be an episode! If it does make it as is, I hope they keep the scenes with the Pie family.
I love Accent. Really good story.
sure I liked 'Ah Ain't Got no Ack-cent' but C&A would make a good fan movie.
Ah Ain't Got no Ack-cent would make for a great episode. If it ever arises I will put in a vote.
Darn tootin' that would be a fun episode to see.
It really comes down to whether they want a fan episode that could fit in continuity, or more of a fan movie, for which OaC/A would work well(though I do have my own criticisms of it). But I do think Ak-cent would make a good episode.
Ah Ain't Got no Ack-cent is a good story and all... but Crimps and Prance was better. That's the story that gets my vote.
Yeah, "Ah Ain't Got No Ack-cent" would definitely fit better as an ep, if only because it's fairly episodic in nature. As much affection as I have from C&A, it's simply too long for a project than this (and to be completely honest, does not fit the spirit of the show anywhere near as well as Ack-cent does).
And, since I'm still wanting for the show proper to do something with AJ's sojourn to Manehatten and Rarity, it'd be lovely to see Ack-cent filling in in animated form.
I could come up with an episode script sometime, but I'd need a lot of help with the rest of the material.
Would... would anyone want to see me try my hands at a script if this one goes well?
Accent was one of the first stories I read here, and it was an absolute blast, and would make a wonderful episode!
I do think that Cross and Arrow would make an awesome movie, but it would take forever to produce even if it was cut down to 2-3 episodes. Accent was written to be a single episode, and I can see it working within the 22 minutes of an average episode.
I see your point, Connor. 'Ack-cent' would make a better single part episode, but perhaps C&A could be made into a multipart eventually. might turn out alright. no matter what though, the fact you're actively announcing your interest in this post makes me happy.
You know it bro! You got it! I LOVED that one-shot, and I think that TOTALLY fits the whole 'slice-of-life' thing, as well as having a great moral at the end of just being yourself, and not to try to impress others with what you aren't! You've got Trevor's vote! *Salutes*

C&A works as a movie...
But Ackcent is definitely an episode-esque story.
it's got my vote!
even though i plan to submit my own episode possibility to them (it's a two parter) i still hope you win Conner.
out of all the stories I've read, yours are the best.
Ack-cent has my full support.
You have my sword.
Read it, it's fantastic.
Ack-cent is definitely more episode material.
I vote for that.
Personally, I'd rather see an episode adaptation of "Crimps and Prance" if only because it deals in background characters more than the Mane cast.
