Ever since Twilight Sparkle gained her cutie mark, a particularly magical event that she still barely remembers, a small scribble has been barely visible on her fetlock. A First Words Soulmate Mark. As time marched on, those very words ever so slowly became clearer. It is on the eve of her big brother's wedding that she hears those words spoken... by his fiance.

But that should be impossible, right? His fiance was her childhood foalsitter, wasn't she? Twilight has clear memories of their time together. Plus, wasn't Cadance already her brother's soulmate? She'd never heard of one pony having multiple soulmates before. On top of all that, the first words she had heard from Cadance absolutely weren't a coldly delivered "Hope I'm not interrupting anything important." This needs to be investigated...

This story is a sequel to Schneller Geist: The Demon of Hollow Shades

Once more, Sonnhalt has come around. The small fishing village of Orkneigh on the Griffish Isles has already pulled most of its fishing fleet ashore to protect them from any ice sheets which may form in the bay. Only the largest cold-water trade ships built mostly by the Hippogriffs of Mt. Aris remain in the waters. As the town begins to celebrate another completed fishing season, some... less well known inhabitants of Equestria come out the play.

A Reddoverse Sidestory - Reading of the main storyline is not required for this story. Technically reading the listed prequel is not required either, as the current series is more a disjointed sequence of origin stories than a true progression of stories.

Written for the 2nd Monster Mare Story Contest (Nightmare Night Fun). I'm noticing a bit of a trend in how I write this story line...

Late hours and overtime... I can't complain too much, it means good money. And good money means enjoying the finer things in life, or at least keeping expensive hobbies active anyways. A few grand into my gear, which constantly comes out with new toys, then another hundred or so every time I want to put my life into my and my buddy's hands ten fathoms deep, if not more so... Sorry, I'm rambling here.

Anyways! Something was bound to give eventually. And now, it finally has. I'm waking up in Equestria, just as the main story is coming into play. At least, I *think* it's the main story... I really hope the Zebras and Ponies aren't trading gems and coal... Or that there are some severe gender roles going on... Or, well, yeah... guess we'll just find out as we go, won't we?

Look, I'm not even going to TRY and deny it, this is straight up wish-fulfillment SI-OC 'Start to follow the plot' 'No, not that plot!' nonsense. It's meant to be more one part enjoyment of writing, one part getting the idea out of my head, and one part getting out of cases of writer's block than anything. So, don't expect a consistent schedule on this by ANY stretch of the imagination. That being said, I do hope you all enjoy it, at least somewhat. And that I'll see you around my other stories!

Nestled in the shade of the Foal Mountains, the trees of the Umbral Forest darken the skies for the inhabitants of Hollow Shades. Most are more than pleased to be subjected to varying degrees of twilight and night, the most natural time of day for the bat ponies that call the town home. Yet, the Umbral Forest, while more tame than it's unruly cousin the Everfree Forest, is no stranger to things that go bump in the night.

Written for, and placed 3rd in, the 1st Monster Mare Story Contest (Unpopular Monsters). Absolutely last minute, I might add. I only discovered the contest by accident the day before the contest closed.

Sunset Shimmer has a foolproof plan. She's going to go through the portal for more than just a peak for the first time in years in order to obtain some magic artifact that will cement her role as overseer of the student populace of Canterlot High School. Then, she'll march these... carnivorous pony imitations through the portal and conquer Celestia's realm. Maybe then, she will finally get the wings she deserves from her old mentor.

The only problem is, it's not Celestia's realm...
