They all idolized Celestia, and she could never understand why.

Why would they praise her, why would they shower her with such adoration and glory? Celestia knew she didn't deserve it. But still, she could never bring herself to tell them the truth. She was far too selfish, far too cowardly to ever let them see who she really was--

The Nightmare is Luna's friend. All the Nightmare wants is to help... Right?

Luna is lonely, so she decides to create a friend for herself. Out of her nightmares.

Sanity is critical.

And Luna is losing it.

A year after the Nightmare Rarity incident, things seem calm. The nightmares no longer trouble ponies, or so it seems. But Rarity is troubled. Her dreams and thoughts are darker as time goes on. She is starting to forget who she is, and who her friends are. It is no longer the nightmare that haunts her, it is herself. Rarity is starting to want the nightmare's power. Her thoughts have become twisted. And they are telling her one thing:

"Hail, Queen of Nightmares."

Luna is angry. Angry at her sister, her supposed loving sister. Oh, but she has a plan. A plan that will show her sister her pain. A plan that will make Celestia hurt as Luna did.

A plan for her sister to fear her.

Years ago, our world burned. But now, we thrive, we prosper, or so it seems. Ponies have lost the ability to gain cutie marks naturally, so the Union artificially makes them and implants them with a computer chip. When I turn thirteen I will get Marked, and in turn gain freedom. But the Union lies. Deaths regarding the Marks have been occurring. And in a week's time I will have no choice but to be Marked, and instead of gaining freedom, lose it.

NOTE: I marked this story 2nd person cuz there are SOME 2nd-person parts. The whole story is NOT 2nd person, however.

For one thousand years, Celestia had to live with the fact that she couldn't save her own sister, and had to banish her instead. And with nopony to comfort her, Celestia has to battle a mysterious voice, who seems to be in league with Nyx and is taking over Celestia. And Luna is no better.
