Ever since the Mirror Pool incident, Twilight Sparkle has been dying to learn it's power. Little did she know just how odd the magic in the pool really was.
Bringing her friends, was a good idea. Placing a sound and magic proof shield around the area, was a decent one. Doing all this during the first planned Solar Eclipse in a thousand years, not such a good idea. After one of Pinkie's many hidden party cannons goes off while the eclipse is active, the group falls into the pool. What happens then can be described as frightening, shocking, evil, confusing, and dangerous all at once. The group will have to face the darkness that hides in their pasts to escape, and should they fall, the darkness will claim them. All the while, another darkness may be rising, for better or worse.

Two questions remain, though

Shadow Vine, the Daughter of the Everfree, only ever had two friends in her life, Lunar Fire, the Devil Child and Night Wind, the Forbidden One. all three held a secret behind their titles, each kept it from one another, and each nearly lost the friendship of the others because of it. After realizing how close her friendships were to breaking, Night Wind brought them together to end their secrets, learning a valuable lesson in friendship along the way.
but this isn't a story about these three repairing their friendship, this is a story of how this lesson would be needed to save the world from an evil king when he's become far stronger than before.

When Sombra returns and prepares to destroy Equestria, the main six rise with the element to face it, only to fail, but... why?
Harmony is powered by friendship, so when friendship falters, Harmony falls

Shadow and her two friends must rekindle the friendships of the element bearers so that they can defeat the ancient demon, but to do so, they must find the secrets each hides and get the bearers to reveal them to each other. Along the way, they will find themselves entangled in an ancient prophesy relating to six little fillies, the Daughters of Harmony.
When secrets are kept, friendships begin to crumble. When secrets are revealed, true friendships strengthen to surpass all evil.

Most Ponies think they know what the Element's of Harmony are, but one seemingly common pony knows the truth. to the public, she is known simply as Spectrum Light, but her real identity is Light. She is the youngest and most reckless of the Children of Harmony (The true embodiments of Loyalty, Kindness, Honesty, Generosity, Laughter, Friendship, and herself). Light has died to save the world several times.
After her most recent sacrifice to destroy the shadowy entity that was, and still is, her polar opposite/mortal enemy 400 years before Nightmare Moon's return, Light had to wait 380 years for her rebirth (For she had used more magic than she usually did and needed the time to recover.), Light, as well as her family, had expected a normal rebirth, but that all changes when she is born at the exact same time as one of the ponies that her siblings had chosen to be the newest element bearers. Her connection to her siblings resulted in hers and said other pony's souls binding in a far stronger way than a normal bearer, resulting in them being like twins.
Now, as the evil that had always been her archenemy rises once again, she must work with the element bearers to defeat it. One question remains though.
Will her connection to her soul twin aid her in the final battle, or hinder her.

Some can say their life was changed forever, but only a few can say it was change forever twice. Midnight Locus is one such case.
When Spirit Vengeance is captured by the queen of the Crimson Hive under Manehattan and told to divulged ancient secrets that not even she is meant to know, she refuses and must be punished. Her punishment: being turned into a changeling, forgetting her life, and losing her self to the Crimson Hive. A flawless punishment, or so the Queen thought. That was the first time her life changed forever.
Only a year later, her life changed forever once more as four well-timed magic impacts changed her true form and severed her from her hive's Hivemind. Now known as Midnight Locus, she will try to find the answers to her questions with the help of those involved in her new life, old friends, and new friends while getting over the shyness and fearfulness that was from her being severed from the Hivemind. Her questions?

-What dark secrets did she know?
-Was her new life an accident, intentional, or something much more?
-What secrets do Celestia and Luna hold?

Twilight is in way over her head. She must Conduct Peace negotiations with at least two empires and one changeling hive, learn just how powerful the magic of friendship and harmony really are, learn to cope as everything she believed in is slowly shattering around her, learn about a pony that appeared out of nowhere and claims to be the guardian of the spirits of the elements of harmony, learn forbidden magics from an alicorn nopony knew existed, learn to stop harboring a grudge against changelings, and try to cope as she learns dark secrets about her former mentor all while having to help eight ponies, that are from a dimension where Nightmare Moon defeated Celestia the first time they fought, save their world and hers from a vampony from the other dimension who has caused a dimensional paradox by turning ponies in Twilight's dimension into vamponies when the virus doesn't exist in her dimension.

-This story takes place between two dimensions. If a chapter is set completely in one dimension then it will have either (1st) or (2nd) at the beginning or end of the chapter name. 1st is Twilight's dimension while 2nd is the dimension where Nightmare Moon is ruler
