As a baby, Discord was abandoned by his mother and left behind to be raised by another. Princess Celestia and Princess Luna found him and raised him. While Princess Celestia was busy, Luna took care of the Draconequus who began to see her as his mother. Many ponies feared Discord for his strange appearance and magic which he had little control over.
After Luna was banished, Celestia started taking care of the young Draconequus but due to fear of others judging him, he concealed his true form and asked Celestia to make others forget what he was, she reluctantly agreed and now, no one could remember what Discord was.
Years later, a unicorn tells Celestia of the coming return of Nightmare Moon so she sends her and a disguised Discord to Ponyville to make friends. Will they?
This is a possible retelling of MLP Friendship is magic but the Discord in the entire series. This was inspired by Hero by NalaxSimba.

Hmmm. Have to say, this story idea has potential. Discord being raised by Celestia and Luna? Yeah, I could see where that could be interesting. So far, the work on the dialogue, characterizations and future chapter set-up are well done.

Ouch. REALLY feeling for Discord here. Hearing all those bad things said about him. At least Luna is willing to stick up for him.
Another really emotional chapter. REALLY felt for Discord in dealing with those bullies. And, given how powerful he is, those bullies should have definitely known better. Of course, I have to wonder, if Discord never became a villain in this universe, why would Celestia and Luna ever need to use the Elements of Harmony? But, anyway, I can see why Discord would feel upset about that happening to his mother (and I could see where Luna's turn into Nightmare Moon could have been at least somewhat Mama Bear fueled).
Of course, I have to wonder how Discord takes his "cousin" Cadance. I'm not going ask about Blueblood (unless he only uses the "jerk" bit to discourage the gold diggers and actually IS pretty decent to his "Aunt" Celestia and his "cousins").
Anyway, on to the next chapter.
Again, a pretty well-done chapter. The dialogues, characterizations and future chapter set-up are all great. Especially liked the compare and contrast between Twilight's reactions to the assorted first meeting and Discord's (particularly concerning Pinkie's craziness). And the Hypocritical Humor concerning Discord's annoyance about Spike's "love at first sight" reaction at meeting Rarity when he would have the very same reaction upon HIS first meeting with Fluttershy was downright beautiful. I guess that kind of answers my earlier question concerning his opinions on his "cousin" Cadance. Well, now Discord has met his mother again, though it will be a few hours before it will be in the way he might want.
Anyway, given the stuff about Discord being part of the main group from the start here, I guess we'll find out who ends up replacing Discord as the main villain of the second season opener eventually. And I'm also going to guess that it's going to be THE REAL Grogar in the final season (which I'll definitely be looking forward to).
Anyway, really looking forward to more of this.

And, yeah, I can understand why Discord would hold off on revealing his identity to the rest of the Mane Six (Twilight was the only one thus far and even SHE found out by accident).
And, yes, I can understand skipping certain episodes if you can't find ways to work Discord into them (though, for "Dragonshy" I could see Discord conjuring up a super-durable fireproof muzzle for the adult dragon to protect Fluttershy and her friends as well as growing to the dragon's size to wrestle him on more equal footing. I could also see him volunteering to help foalsit the Crusaders half to score points with Fluttershy and half because of bonding with the Crusaders.
But, anyway, really looking forward to more of this.
REALLY appreciated this spin on "Griffon the Brush-Off" with passing nods to both "the Ticket Master" and "Applebuck Season" And, yeah, of course Discord would want to get in on the pranks and of course Discord would be steamed about Gilda bullying Fluttershy.
Anyway, the characterizations, dialogues and future chapter set-up are well done and I'll certainly be looking forward to the next chapter.
Another well-done spin on a canon episode. LOVED how Discord employed the cotton candy cloud raining chocolate milk to show Trixie up as well as Discord and Twilight's chat at the end.

Yeah, makes sense that Discord would be afraid of what the others would think of him if they knew his true form, but I DID like his efforts to help out anyway, such as the protection during the avalanche. And needing to be in his true form to do things like conjure up a properly sized fireproof muzzle and growing to the dragon's own size is a logical reason for him to not do more against the dragon.

Hmm.... maybe tomorrow or Thursday. I want to watch some of the episodes and see if I could fit Discord in them. I never intended to do all of them in season 1 and I have a set few that I knew I wanted him in, Swarm of the Century being one of them, which is next, btw. But there are several that I can't or couldn't see him in, like Look Before You Sleep, Ticket Master, and Winter Wrap-Up. So, yeah, maybe tomorrow or Thursday. Can't make any promises.

To be honest, this was not one of my favorite episodes in canon (primarily because it was too dependent on "Poor Communication Kills") and it would have been MUCH better as a Whole Episode Flashback depicting how Pinkie knew so much about the Parasprites. But, yeah, that was the fault of the writers of the actual episode and not you. And also to be honest, I think the episode would have fit Discord being a main character better if there was some reveal along the lines that he created the Parasprites and knew about the music weakness, perhaps conjuring up a massive number of musical instruments. Still, I can understand why you didn't think of that.
At any rate, I am looking forward to more of this.
