Chapter 1

"La lala la la la LAAA!!"
Pinkie Pie's shrill singing woke Twilight up at once.
Twilight groaned, looking at the clock. Her alarm clock was ringing, and it probably had been for hours.
10:00 AM. Twilight had overslept-yet again.
"PINKIE!"
Twilight yelled, opening up the window.
Twilight was extremely angry at Pinkie for having woken hrself up, but the purple mare just sighed and blinked her eyes a few times, stretching her body out. Twilight suddenly sensed some sort of force growing near her. "What is that force tha I'm sensing?" Twilight murmured, blinking her eyes in confusion and turning over to the window.
Pinkie waved at her, her face looking unmistakably excited.
Bouncing up and down, the pink mare said, "Hi, Twilight. I was just welcoming this new pony to Ponyville."
Twilight saw a turquoise pony with dark blue hair standing beside Pinkie, with a slight blush on her face.
"And she's an ALICORN!!!!!!"
Pinkie yelled.
"Huh.. alicorn?"
"Wait."
"Alicorn???"
Twilight thought Pinkie wasn't telling the truth at first, but surely, the small turquoise pony standing next to Pinkie had not only a horn sticking out from her quite messy dark blue hair, but a pair of wings that looked unusually large.
The pony gasped and curled her body up, so that her wings weren't visible.
Twilight almost fell over at the prospect of having an actual alicorn living in her town.
Her jaw hitting the floor, Twilight stared at the turquoise pony, who was shivering in embarassment.
"This is Turquoise," Pinkie went on, taking no note of Twilight's facial expression. "She's really shy, but I really like her!"
Rubbing her eyes, Twilight groggily asked, "Where does Turquoise come from, Pinkie?"
The pink mare lifted her hoof slightly for a moment, as if she were about to say something, then stopped.
"Uh..I know this is weird, but Turquoise doesn't seem to remember where she comes from exactly..all she remembers is lots of fire, lava, and fiery creatures."
Twilight rolled out of her bed and stood up. "Well, then that's strange.." she said, sleepily stumbling over to the table where she kept her hairbrush. She rubbed her eyes again, then blinked and picked up a pack of hair ties instead of her hairbrush, which she had been intending to pick up. Again she felt the strange magical force, pushing against her, pushing her away from the window.
Forcing her eyes open,Twilight saw that her brush was on the other side of the table, and levitated the brush up into the air, while setting the pack of hair ties back on the table.
Twilight headed out of her bedroom and walked into the main room of the library, still continuously blinking her eyes and sometimes stumbling a bit. She walked over to the realistic fiction shelf and pushed on it, revealing a secret closet. Inside was a pantry with lots of food and a fridge that was considerably smaller than a normal fridge. A box of cereal and some milk was surrounded in purple aura as Twilight picked it up with the levitation magic.
Twilight grabbed a chair and sat down on it. She kept on thinking of Turquoise, the new Alicorn, but she tried to push the thought out of her mind. Pouring some milk into her bowl, she finally managed to push the thought aside and focus n her breakfast. After eating a good breakfasts Twilight plopped down on her couch and levitated a book off of the shelf. She read the title, checking to see if she wanted to read it. "Alicorns and their History," read Twilight.
The title reminded her of the strange Alicorn she seen this morning. She couldn't help but leave the book on the couch and walk out the door to inquire about this strange pony and why she had come here instead of going to Canterlot.
Twilight walked down the roads of Ponyville, seeing ponies left and right. Twilight walked over to her friend, Colgate, who happened to be standing right next to Sugarcube Corner, where she was heading. "Hi Colgate," she said. The blue unicorn turned around, a bit surprised. "Oh, hi, Twilight," she said. "Hi, Colgate-have you heard? There's a new pony in town," Twilight said with a grin. She was sure to find out more about Turquoise the Alicorn with Colgate-Colgate was so familiar with everyoony and probably was always first to hear the news about important stuff.
"Uh..oh, yes!" she exclaimed, a smile forming on her face. "She's that Alicorn Turquoise isn't she?" Twilight nodded, smiling.
"Now tell me Colgate...what do you know about her?"
Colgate stared at the purple unicorn. "Why do you want to know?" she asked suspiciously. "Uh, I just wanted to know some things about her...you know, get to meet her?" Colgate narrowed her eyes, then walked off. Twilight, bewildered by Colgate's suspicious acts, looked at her for a moment, then, shrugging, just shook it off and walked into Sugarcube Corner.
The first thing that Twilight saw was Pinkie Pie standing next to a black shelf filled with party hats and various flavors of cupcake mix. There was also a line of Glitter Bling cake icing. The next thing she saw was a strange ball of fire that was enveloping a floating ball of water. Seeing this, Twilight covered her mouth and gasped loudly. "Pinkie! What's with this ball of fire?" Pinkie Pie dropped a box of baking goods she was holding and whisked her body around, adrenaline pumping into her hooves. "Twilight! You have got to see Turquoise's new fire spell! She can use her magic to make a ball of fire cover a ball of water without the two elements interfering. It's so awesome!" Pinkie babbled. Twilight gasped even louder and fell over. "Turquoise? She's the one doing this??????!!!!" Twilight has never known any pony to have magic this powerful. Celestia had magic that was considerably close to this, but not enough to make two opposing elements merge together without any interference between them. Then suddenly, the ball of fire disappeared into thin air with a slight pop, and the water dissolved into space. Twilight could see Turquoise massaging her horn, and groaning. This was way beyond the average young Alicorn's magical expectancy. This was stuff meant only for experienced, fully matured alicorns like Princess Celestia, and yet Celestia had large trouble doing a spell like this. It seemed that Turquoise had some sort of magic burst in her. Just as suddenly as the ball of fire and water had disappeared, it appeared again, this time a lot smaller, but gradually growing larger. Pretty soon it was bigger than the initial size it had taken. Twilight covered her eyes as the red blaze shined a large amount of light into her eyes. "Make it stop!" Twilight yelled. But her voice was no match for the crackling sound of fire as it burned everything in its path. Pinkie Pie made a gasping motion, but her gasp could not be heard over the sound the fireball was making. The fire was burning every thing in its way, including the wooden counter and the shelf of baked goods. Pinkie Pie dodged a flame as it almost burned her tail off. Jumping onto a table, Pinkie Pie grabbed a fire extinguisher that was located high up on the wall, and opened it, thus spraying a large jet of water towards the fireball. The fireball seemed to stop crackling for a second, and then the fire was gone, just like that. Twilight jumped back, dazed for a while, and then fell back yet again, while Pinkie placed the extinguisher back onto the shelf, jumping down from the table calmly. Turquoise was sitting shyly on the ground, her eyes filling with tears and her body quite burnt. "I-I'm sorry, Pinkie," she managed to stuttering almost a whispering voice, as she viewed the damage her spell had created. Then the Alicorn ran out of Sugarcube Corner, bursting into tears by the time she ran over the threshold. She disappeared in an dark alley, her crying still faintly recognizable through the silent town. Due to the damage that the large magical fire had made, every pony was either inside their houses or standing petrified in front of shops, stands or houses. The damage was very clear to the townsfolk and the black, ashy ruins of various parts that had not survived the fireball. Using her better judgement, Twilight sat down calmly and stared at the remaining parts of Sugarcube Corner, instead of going after the turquoise Alicorn. Pinkie Pie grabbed some bags of ruined cake mix off the floor and dismissively set it down in the trash can, beginning to clean the messy ruins up. Twilight looked at Pinkie and wondered how she could be just shaking it off so quickly like that. Then the purple unicorn realized that Pinkie was just holding her mix of sadness, anger and unhappiness in, as she saw that tears were forming on the pink mare's eyes, and she was trying to blink them away. "How could this have happened?" Twilight heard Pinkie mutter, possibly to herself. "Everything was going so well.." Pinkie muttered again. "Let me help you," said Twilight. She levitated all the leftovers that were on the floor into a neat pile, which she set down in front of Pinkie, whose tears were unable to hide now. "Don't even bother helping. Go away," Pinkie said sadly, a tear streaking across her cheek and dripping off her chin. Pinkie Pie he'd out her hoof and pushed the purple mare out of her sight. "But-" Twilight said. Get away," Pinkie said, tears clouding her eyes from sight. Twilight hung her her head, her ears gradually drooping, and walked out of the burned cake shop, not daring to look back at the ruins of Pinkie's only home, now burnt to a crisp.
The next day, Twilight walked along the rocky roads and twisting dirt paths into the Everfree Forest where Zecora lived. After a hour of restless walking, Twilight was at the front of Zecora's witch like house, knocking on the wooden door. Zecora answered after a few seconds, and beckoned for Twilight to come in. Stepping over the threshold, Twilight Immediately saw the great number of books, in dark, eerie shades and colors, that were scattered over the ground of Zecora's home.
"What....happened here?" asked Twilight, cautiously turning her head to the silent zebra.
"It is coming," murmured Zecora, just standing there.
Twilight stared, puzzled, at Zecora, who was rubbing her chin with her hoof.
"What did you just say?"
"The magical force is coming again. I can feel the very presence of it. You must gather the things and leave quickly. We are in danger from the most powerful force."
Twilight kept on staring, bewildered as to what was going on.
"Why aren't you rhyming, Zecora?"
The zebra frowned, then covered her mouth. "I cannot rhyme if the force is near us. You must go, now!" Twilight, still frowning in confusion, stooped down. "What do you mean? You're talking in riddles again, aren't you, Zecora?" asked Twilight, her mouth in an unsteady position, a mix of confusion and anger. Zecora shook her head. "No, I am not." Twilight sighed. "Tell me,Zecora-what is this force you are talking about?" Zecora turned to the almost-empty bookshelf and pulled out a dark black book, it's binding hopelessly torn and frayed. Zecora opened it and flipped around until she stopped at a single page. "You see, Twilight," Zecora began to explain, "this force is a magical field that surrounds a pony with such magic as you. With so many magic power that she or he rivals out all the current Alicorns in existence. You do not have this special magic type. Your magic comes from pure talent. But this magic field..t is a combination of all the most powerful magic in the universe, designed to hide underground and stick to any pony who tries to access it, instantly giving him or her extra-special power-the power that comes with this magical field. Some pony with this magical field attached on him or her has come into the range of where I live. This powerful magic was created by a physcotic pony who lived thousands of years ago. By the time of his deat, he had hidden a hundred of these magical specimens across the world, designed to stick to a special pony." Twilight gasped. "I think this pony is the new pony in town-Turquoise!" she said, her hoof flying to her mouth, Zecora nodded. "She could be the one that holds this magic. After all, many ponies who come from lands such as my hometown, know about this special magic, and try to find it's source. But right when they discover it, the magic comes out and envelopes the pony, trapping them so the magic can control them in a special way, designed by the pony who created this magic." Twilight placed her hoof down. "How exactly will I be able to know that she really is in this magical thing?" she asked.
"You can sense it with a special type of spell," said Zecora, holding up another book. "His book teaches you all sorts of spells, but I have a bookmark in the one page you'll need."
Twilight took the book, and immediately, she felt as f the magic inside were already pouring into her head, s she learned every single spell inside it.

:facehoof: I accidentally deleted a total of 11 paragraphs that I just wrote, so sorry if this storyis going along way too slow. My ther stories will temporarily be pt on hiatus.

Yay!
I finally set up that cliffhanger for what's coming up.

The formatting needs alot of work. The enter and Tab keys are your friends. Also I spotted alot of capitalization errors. I suggest looking this over again or getting an editor..

A new alicorn has arrived in Ponyville. She seems to have many extrodinary but unrealistic abilities, such as being able to change the force of gravity and bending fire. Yet she has no cutie mark. Twilight Sparkle has a very hard time believing that this pony is real. THe strange, talented pony, named Turquoise, for her fur color, seems like she's not a real pony, and gradually, TUrquoise begins to be suspected by the townspeople (People normally means humans. 'Citizens of Ponyville'?) of Ponyville. Twilight Sparkle eventually decides, (No need for this comma.) that Turquoise does not only have pony blood in her. She may also be part of another species.

It normally helps if you make sure the description doesn't have obvious typos before you publish it.

Gotta say, you get a thumb up just for the cover.

Sorry for the spelling errors.
My iPad acts really strange when typing these days..
