Gallus reflects on being kidnapped, escaping a dingy dungeon, narrowly avoiding death a number of times, and defeating yet another no-name bad guy with the power of friendship and rainbows.

A short writing exercise that I refused to post for three years.

Tagged with "Adventure" for the subject matter, "Romance" for light shipping, and "Slice of Life" for writing style.

Cover art is a reproduced painting by Albert Bierstadt called "Among the Sierra Nevada Mountains, California"

Wow this is a very interesting one and it looks like gallus and his friends finally defeated the villain that caused them nothing but pain and it looks like he's looking back about how everything turned out then the main six arrive to check in on the kids if they're okay a little messed up but they are okay and they all went home to Ponyville while Twilight's friends informed the leaders the safeties of the children and not only that ganging an ally to a different country which that's pretty awesome and I got to say the ones they got from their artifacts for the young six are pretty cool so they made their decision to keep them since it looks like the elements of Harmony chose them after that Gallus got a visitor which it was Gilda told him that she is proud of him what he did and everybody decided to take a break after the little incoming with the villain and once again I like the shipping of Gallus and silverstream and Sandbar and yona then smolder and Ocellus either way this was a pretty good story keep up the good work and it's always nice to see these kids I've always liked them a lot

The story has something going for it, something in the undertones. It's intriguing to feel what Gallus is going through.

But, the ending... it felt abrupt. I had thought we were going through more of Gallus's introspection and the symbolism of his "element". Griffons are grandiose, Gallus's element is much too grand to him.

Elsewise, I enjoyed this story, though there are some grammatical errors. Regardless if this was made years ago or why you didn't want to publish this earlier, this was entertaining. Good work, wordsmith!

Yeah, when I was originally writing this, I felt the same thing about the ending. I have some tentative plans to revisit this story at some point in the future, but I have other writing projects that currently take precedent. I was always intrigued by the way the show handled the "Young Six", and I was really starting to explore that when I originally wrote this. I appreciate your kind words!
