This is off to an interesting start. But, it may just be my lack of sci-fi experience, I can't tell what this is a crossover with. Care to shed some light?

Based on the image and focus on GLORIOUS DEMOCRACY, it is very likely it's a crossover with a game called Helldivers.
This outta be interesting and since it piqued my interest I think I shall also check out helldivers
Wait, Super Earth learned about Equestria and the HELLDIVERS are heading there? That's not going to end well. Knowing the Super Earth government, they're going to try "liberating" Equestira and installing a "managed democracy" in it's place.
Hmmm I find the admiral not considering other possibilities to be a flaw but as long as the fleet doesn’t provoke the fighting I’ll let it slide.

I’ve never played helldivers (I don’t think anyway) so might I ask why you think only bad things will happen once the fleet arrives?

The TLDR is that Super Earth is a "managed democracy" meaning that the outcome of the elections are determined ahead of time to make them more efficient. By pure coincidence, the same government has been in power for as long as anyone can imagine, because they just keep winning the elections for some strange reason. Any "threat" to Super Earth is met with overwhelming force by the Helldivers, the government's elite military taskforce, to ensure the spread of managed democracy throughout the galaxy.

The reason I don't think things will go well is because the Super Earth government is liable to treat just about anything as an excuse to "deomocratize" the ponies. Likely with bullets.

You know... at first... I thought this was a 'Supreme Commander' crossover when I saw
and thought that 'Cyborg' was an autocorrect of 'Cybran'. But after reading... I have deduced that no, it is not a 'Supcom' crossover.

I DON'T know anything about Helldriver. ( Unless I can have the time to use Wiki.) Considering this, Earth's Government is like a Democracy on Steroids!!! And to make the Government type a BAD thing! Why CAN'T Humanity and Ponies be Friends in Fanfiction.
At least it's NOT WH40K's the Imperium Of Man.
