Once, Equestria was a land of happiness and magic. It was a land of sunshine and rainbows. But... when the sun is dead, how can it shine? When Nightmare Moon and the Sun-Slayer rise to power, who rises to stop them?

An idea I had that wouldn't leave me alone. Content rating my go higher as the story develops.

Special thanks to my editors: Brooke, Peter, and Amnie who put up with me when I bug them to help me.

Alright, so this is my first foray into the world of MLP fiction as an author. Hopefully this goes well and you all enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.

Seems like a very interesting story and there aren't any outright grammar problems that I saw, but I have one or two problems. The story seems to pass really fast, and the style is a little choppy, awkward.

Seems like a good story, so I'll like and follow it.

Yeah, I was experimenting with my usual writing style with this. I'm not used to doing stories with plots that amount to more than "here is the subject for this assignment, make it happen". I hope to improve with time, and, trust me on this one, this version is MUCH better than the original draft for this. Once I get a bit further in to the story I hope to be able to go back and change some things that I had an issue with, but didn't get to address.

Thank you so much for your feedback, I really appreciate it.

I like this idea keep the updates rolling and you've got yourself a good story!

a bit dark and gritty but well done
as a fellow first time fimfiction writer i must say your work is better then mine is >.<

Whew, okay so things have finally cooled down enough on my end that I can continue writing this. Thank you all so much for reviewing and those that followed me. Hopefully Chapter 1 should be done Wednesday, and then edited by Saturday.

Here's a little Teaser for you folks: Finally, Apple Bloom spoke, her voice heavily laced with anger, “You don’t have anything to be sorry for Sweetie. You aren’t the one who burned my home.”

“No, I believe that was me.”

Wow, been a while huh? Unfortunately college kinda exploded into difficult and time consuming maths and sciences, so I haven't been able to really work on this since about August 2012. Good news though! I have chapter 1 waiting to be beta'd, and chapter 2 in the works so hopefully I can really get this story rolling.
