oh yeah >:)
going the anti-hero route I see.
Hail to the king baby~
Some people like their heroes to be knights in shining armor. I, on the other hand, don't. To me, a hero wears not shining armor that has never experienced hardships but battle scared armor that have seen the darkest of times yet still endures. I like the direction this character development is going right now.

Problem is someone who tortures others, promises mercy and then kills them anyways can't really be considered a hero. There's a fine line you have to walk in order to keep your "hero" from coming across as a hypocritical homicidal maniac. I'm not saying Micro has reached that point but he's clearly well on his way.
9725550
Fido was a human trafficker and intended rapist.. I don’t intend to have micro go kill crazy and homicidal but still.
I get your point thought originally, Chara was going to stay behind and kill Fido, but I wanted to show micro’s feelings on the matter
9725580
I get that he's a bad person but playing judge, jury and executioner is a slippery slope. There's a reason Batman will beat criminals within an inch of their life but never kill.
9725584
Did you mean “not a bad person”.
But I know. I personally feel that a lot of batman’s Criminals should just be killed (asylum does nothing for them!) but I get it. There is a reason I drew attention to the look in micro’s eyes.
9725588
I was referring to Fido don't worry, I haven't quite written off Micro just yet.
9725595
Good, because I don’t intend for him to be a maniac. This is currently the only time I plan for him to kill an actual human like creature (those in The id or creatures like wolves are free game) for a long time

Thank you for your input. I was already planning on having a scene later talking about this, but after reading your comments I’m going to add another little extra scene in next chapter.
If His cloak opens up and all he's wearing a pair of pink speedos I'll laugh.
Damn, gotta say I'm impressed, dracokin micro is renegade for life micro. While in that form its not surprising considering his new predator and hoarding instinct he's being exposed to ..(they took his mate and taste good fried I mean who doesn't like hot dogs)... ehh ehh. Like when his nature changes in goddess mode.
I'm sorry, but what Micro did was a little extreme. Fido was a monster(ethically speaking), but you must take care not to become a monster yourself.
Micro tortured Fido while killing him when he should have mercy killed, break his neck or something similar. Green Arrow has used torture in his stories to get answers in order to protect people, but killing in such a cruel manner would make you closer to the Red Hood.
Yes, the ability user world is a practically lawless land. But that doesn't mean you should abandon your morality. And while I understand that Micro feels strongly about this, there has to be a bottom line for all "True" heroes that blatantly crossing is wrong.
Do you mean Spoke?

I gotta get in on this one. Someone in another crossover story ive read 4x summed it up so nicely.
Spoiler from another story He had a anti hero go around killing villains and had Batman trying to catch him. For some reason Batman was always to slow and he would get away at the last minute. So when Batman finds him in a alley he tries to catch him. The guy doesnt run and asks Batman why are the bad guys worth more to him then the innocent victims who'd be spared by killing them. Batman response was I'm not an executioner that theirs laws for a reason. He calls out batman on his bs saying he needs their to be bad guys otherwise he's just a freak in armor running around trying to justify his existence because he caused his parents deaths. He tells him he knows he's bruce wayne and tells him that it wasnt his fault his parents died he was just a kid. He points behind him theres a hole in the air that connects to a different alley and in a dark area there's a man whose looking away from them around the corner with a drawn gun... he points at the man and tells him that the guys gonna mug the next group walking by. He turns around then proceeds to throw a weapon at the guy .. Batman throws a batarang and deflects it. The bad guy tells him now he really can blame himself for his parents death then the alley light flickers and Batman can see the face of the man as he turns around the corner then as the portals closing he hears a scuffle then gunshots. While Batman in shock he opens another portal and gets away. Later on he does it again by capturing the villain and batman then bringing out the children of the people the villian just killed. He tells the children Batman has caught the guy before and the anti hero asks batman to explain to the children his justification why their parents had to die instead of the villian whose killed and escaped multiple times. Batman can't say anything because it's true he's caught the villian multiple times. He then asks the children what he should do to the villain who tell him to kill him. Which he does. Then the children thank him instead of batman. He then proceeds to tell batman " There we go no more innocent victims." This is the closest reasoning i agree why ... some villians just gotta die. Also batmans killed non humans before which contradicts his non killing policy. So aliens are ok but humans are not ... for shame batman. Damn after writing this im gonna go read that story again.

I felt a little sick writing that to be honest. Should Micro have tortured Fido, probably not, but it was the quickest way to get the info he needed and time was of the essence. For all he knew Scoots and the other could’ve been getting smuggled out of the country. As for killing him, yeah, he should’ve given him a quick death, but when someone openly admits that he and his friends are going to do “that” to one you love, is it really too far out of the realm of possibility to feel the desire to see them suffer. It won’t be clear cut. Micro will be affected by this, but the fact he didn’t do it for pleasure or something like that is the difference between him and a maniac.
Besides, I love red hood.

No offence but that sounds like a really stupid story from someone that really doesn't get Batman. Batman fights criminals to stop tragedies like the one he experienced, he doesn't execute criminals because that would make him just another criminal. Yes, there are those who just go on to do more crimes but there are also criminals who manage to turn their lives around and go on to do good. Batman would much rather give these criminals a chance to do something better with their lives than just kill them.
It brings to mind this great scene from the end of Under the Red Hood:
Yeah without those criminals there would be no need for a Batman but I don't think Batman would care too much if the world reached a point where it no longer needed him.

I sorta gave the short version it took like 4k words to explain i scrunched it up in roughly 1k i think what he was refering to was batman needs bad guys to vindicate his life. Without badguys everything he's worked towards is meaningless. He prefers to be Batman more then Bruce Wayne. I mean look how he ends up old and alone. Everything he's worked towards , the training, the gadgets, etc. Would be meaningless without someone to fight. Why'd he have to do it himself for example he could've trained an entire task force that work for him. Or why not equip the police force with the necessary equipment to stop the bad guys. With a bat super computer in police hands alot more evidence police would get could stick in court. Why not give the government the tools to make 20 batmans.... If Bruce wanted he could run for mayor which oversees the city including the police force. He could then pass legislation to make things harder for organized crime ... maybe push to get the death penalty reinstated .. god knows people gotta be getting sick with all these villians getting away with killing people. If anyone tries to stop him due to being in someones pocket he could easily get dirt on them and blackmail to legally pass and impliment it or implement a new special crime unit to hunt out bribery, corruption, etc etc. Batman being a vigilante to begin with is illegal what's a little blackmail or extortion which he does as batman anyway. Pretty much tell a crime lord to get out. If he doesn't the police raid 30 of his businesses legally. He becomes a target but he's a target as Batman anyway.
9725886
This is a stupid argument, without bad guys he doesn't need to be the Batman. He only becomes Batman because there are criminals.
Because people can be corrupted, heck one of the obstacles he has to constantly face is police and political corruption. Why supply the guys who could very easily be bought by the bad guys.
Because he wants to help people now not 10 years from now. Batman relies on others to help fix the system and Batman handles things until the system can handle these criminals without his help.
You're basically saying the ends justify the means, that crime and corruption are okay and that you can kill whoever you want as long as it serves the greater good. That's not Batman, he's meant to be better than twisted thinking like that.

Where talking about a cartoon/comic character so i know using real world logic is pointless but just hear me out ...All the equipment he uses is sold by Wayne enterprises weapons division. Its just so expensive most cant afford it. The fact no ones linked the tank to Wayne enterprises since they tried selling it to the military is mind blowing but follows toon logic. But he has the means to equip the police if he wanted with body armors or computers. What he does is illegal anyway there is no the ends justify the means because hes allready using illegal wiretaps, blackmail, torture (yes hanging someone upside down counts as torture beating them to talk is torture also),breaks into private property etc as batman. He'd just be doing it through politics ... Without the torture ..mostly. Hell technically if were talking realworld legalize the crimeboss should file restraining orders against Batman he literally attacks legally paid bodyguards they maybe goons but on private property their guards. The guards could even sue. As for the death penalty its not something he can pass gotham is a city he would have to put forth the change of law then it would have to be voted for or against implementation ... hed have to rally supporters ad through them get the people who voted for thems support. As for the villians who do make something of themselves after rehabilitation again where talking real world versus toon/comic world. You have villians who've robbed banks extorted assaulted etc. Maybe a few years with good behavior. Then you have villians responsible for 100s of deaths their never getting out their not remorseful they pretty much promise more next time they get out. Even the video was just him saying he doesnt wanna turn into what hes fighting. Say that to the families of the victims. Some of which who eventually will become the next generation of criminals. Technically nghtwing firing on Batman isn't even attempted murder because batmans armor can take hits from upto med grade bullets and he technically should know this ... But cartoon logic I'm guessing. He gave batman a desert eagle he was using a glock i got more of the impression he wanted batman to choose to kill him because that pea shooter wouldn't do jack s**t to Batman. Also he technically has killed aliens i know they didn't really give him a choice but that does mean he kills. As for the task force its something that would need to be kept tabs on. Even razs al ghuls people had traitors ..*cough Bruce cough*.. Plus egggh justice league technically counts as a task force who has had traitors to.

The whole point of being a vigilante is to work outside the confines of the law because, as you pointed out, criminals can use the law to their advantage. Batman can solve problems faster than the police because he isn't slowed down by red tape like police and politicians are.
Also killing in self defense is not the same thing as killing someone whose already beaten.
Seems like Gamers Mind ability is weakening...
