Outbreak in Equestria
Sandpiper is trying his best to provide for his family, despite the plague that has spread rapidly across Equestria and killed thousands of ponies. When his father is taken away by scientists, Sandpiper and his little sister Meadowlark are willing to risk everything to get him back. Joined by a former royal guard named Rumiko, they seek out the hidden medical facility where a supposed cure has been created and only administered to the ponies of high status. Can the ponies survive the epidemic? Or will their friendships fall victim to the plague?

This was a good start, I'm getting a sorta apocalyptic/Fallout type of vibe, thought I couldn't really picture the background. Overall this is a good start and I'm a bit interested what you plan for the next chapter.
