I actually really enjoy this Grael
I like this one better. Much more mature and what you would expect from a prince of the ruling family.
I honestly like this so much better than the original, but the old lineage still has a place in my heart!
This Grael is less of an advice-giver and more a protective big brother and I think it suits him. Let's hope Richter is at least a little more mature, eh?
And hopefully as flawed. Because there was some serious character-building potential there.
Definitely a change from the original Lineage- and while the old was without a doubt amusing and witty as hell, the more serious and mature approach to this is just as good for reading.
Wow this Richter is far better at planning then his other self. Good to see Annerose and Zane being more then bit players and seeing their true skills shine.
Neko Fag-senpai, please teach me your (incestuous) ways. I require this knowledge.
7986857 Ah, your harsh words cut me deep, Senpai....continue.
In this world there are 2 types of dragons? sentient and not sentient? because if she is a sentient one, can turn into human and find Richie attractive that poor man could end up dying a snu snu death
>bitches don't know about the Falx
Honestly most fun sword I've had the privelege of using Irl.

The thought came to me when I read this comment that Cadence and Shining Armor actually have a kid now in the show, unlike when you started writing the original. I don't suppose you're going to bother incorporating Flurry Heart into this reboot?
7987517 good on yea, a succubi flurry would be hellish, unless it was cadences sister who was trapped in hell
7988832 shit, sorry. That was a mistake on my part
7988930 eeyup. I assumed, and that was my first mistake, cause you know what they say about assuming

But I hate your work and you hate me tho

I'm really getting into this new style you've made for everyone. Like everyone did a 180 in terms of how they were before to now. I like this. Like it a lot.
I don't think I'll be able to keep a straight face at any mention of whiskey for at least the next three days. That was gold.
As much as I have enjoyed both these stories, I feel it necessary to point out its flaws. Namely, that a katana would absolutely not break against a European sword when wielded properly. They are effectively equal in terms of the quality and strength of metal.

Nor are they any faster than a proper longsword nor are they capable of doing any damage to platemail (yet alone cutting an armoured man in half)
Having actually fought with a katana against a Western plate-armored opponent, I'm mixed on the subject. Yes, a katana will shatter pretty easily if it clashes against practically any solid metal object, other than a light blade or another katana or a wooden shaft of say a spear, but modern katana aren't as fragile as they were when they were used in feudal Japan. (As they're made with better raw materials nowadays)
No, the biggest problem with katanas and using them against an armoured foe is that they don't have a proper shape to fight how you need to in that situation. Fighting an armoured opponent is much easier than people think it is, if you know what you're doing. Fighting a guy in heavy full plate? Gap him. Armpit, back of the knee, whatever gap you can use, just gap him. If you can work a good stab into a gap in armor from a close enough distance, chainmail that he's wearing underneath most likely ain't gonna save him, and he's done. The problem with trying to use a katana like that, though, is that the curve of the blade doesn't lend itself well to thrusting. It's a sword that was designed for slashing, which is what chainmail is great at protecting you from.
So, I don't hate katanas. In the right situation they're excellent swords, and are cool as hell regardless of the reality of them, but I'd personally take a straight blade with me into battle if I had to choose. As a side arm, as I'm a mace and shield guy, myself.
Enjoying the story so much, my friend! Can't wait to be caught up!
