One system in particular, shocked some scientists and a mission was launched. What will these brave pioneers find? Treasure? A new vacation planet? Friendship? Or something entirely different?

They're, like, "Prometheus"-level incompetent. Sheesh, face-huggers would have a field day. The ST: TNG crew was wayyyyy more sensible about alien worlds. And their transporters had biofilters to screen out alien parasites... until the plot needed alien parasites... then they found loopholes!
Why was this cancelled? It sounds like a good story.
