This is really, really good! I enjoyed it greatly and everyone who sees this comment should read this fiction, it's awesome! :pinkiecrazy:

I'd like to point out that there is already another story by this name.

Thanks for letting me know. Now that I've planned out a bit further ahead I came up with a more suitable and unique name.

732079 You gonna give some backstory to this, at all?

733326

Of course. This is just the beginning. The following chapters will explain more about characters, motives, etc.

733339 Ok, good. This chapter was filled to the brim with mystery, and i can't wait. FREAKING CLIFFHANGERS!!!!!!

Unless there's something really alternate about this alternate universe, shouldn't you be calling the enemy the North Vietnamese?

I loved the insight from the main character and what he felt during the battle. Keep it up!:pinkiehappy:

I use the alternate universe tag because I don't want to be tied down to the Vietnam War's actual events. And who knows if they're fighting North and/or South? I'm keeping it open for now.

I'm also not all that educated on the Vietnam War :twilightblush:

They trudged through a football length swampy marsh, and didn't set off a single tripwire or mine, or get attacked by vicious wildlife? They are lucky.

How is it possible to join the armed forces during a war and not have killed AT LEAST one person?

I didn't say he was always in infantry.
