I have to say "2" sounds like the most Pinkie Pie option here.
I vote 1.
I agree that 2 sounds very Pinkie, but I have a bad feeling it would result in tragedy. If she brings him back to the pony wing, the soldiers drag him off and make sure she knows he died 'because' she rescued him. (Regardless whether he would have otherwise.) Punishing Pinkie, as the doctor warned. And if she rescues him and removes him from the hospital completely, the rest of her friends in the hospital are now effectively hostages. She can't reasonably sneak them all out, even by Pinkie standards, and getting just her core group out and leaving the rest to an angry, and frankly frightened, military seems like a cruel choice. (Frightened, because hell yeah they'd be frightened after super-spy Pinkie Pie (whom I shall nickname Solid Snack) just proved that a 'non-magical' pony can make a joke of their best defenses.)
#1 n #4
I know I am kind of going out side the box with always picking too but that is just me.
1 I say. They have enough data at this point to where they can't get anymore without a princess.
I think number 1 is the way to go with a little bit of 3 because yeah, some things are rather weird around
I vote #4, but #1 can happen as she doing it.
Voting 1, 5. If she want her voice to weight in the balance of the guy's fate, she better do what they want. (And they probably will want a princess soon.)
It will be easier for the scientist to plead in her favour if she help them.
Also, if they know she wants him alive, they have VERY little reason to do that.
If they displease her, she might in the best of cases, be reluctant to further experiments, slowing the study of the infection.
Worst case:
-she outright refuse to help them at all, and start an infection from the inside.
-if they manage to kill her, even before she does anything, they will lose the pony the most knowledgeable about the infection (or ponykind in general), one of the few with still a sane mind to make (more or less) controlled experiments with, and they will possibly create a diplomatic incident, knowing she's from another world. (I just say possibly from their viewpoint, because after all, her story have not yet been confirmed for them.)
And if, after she is confirmed alien, the politicians hear they have mistreated her while she was under their care, the military will be in big trouble.
I don't think one guy is worth the trouble.
Has to be #2. Preferably with a bunch of meanie soldiers learning their lesson.
2: A daredevil rescue of her unnamed friend.

It would be way out of character for Pinkie not to help...and if something happens may be we could see what happens if they release Pinkamina....
Followed by 4 because we have not heard what the others think...I mean one colt lost his dad because a soldier had an itchy trigger finger...I am certain he could use some cheering up.
3 seems like the ultimate way to go simply because I fore see these soldiers getting much worse, and these doctors are probably gonna start dissecting some ponies if they have not already (colt's father or possibly the new pony...)
1 will happen eventually as the story progresses...and I doubt we want trigger happy humans having a fresh princess pony they can either dissect or use as a weapon.
5 is the worst thing they could do now that they have seen how these doctors and soldiers behave...I was up for saving the humans when they seemed reasonable and nice...these humans however are showing all the worst humanity has to offer...humanity is better than that!...but not if you measure by these humans standards.
Truthfully I want to see Pinkie get fed up...use her Pinkie powers...and show these soldiers that Pinkamina does not like those that hurt her friends...
6523824 I would agree if the military here was behaving professionally.
Instead they are behaving like a bunch of trigger happy backwoods psychos.
They shot and killed that kids father....then continue to mutilate his body in front of the kid...then when kid trys to stop their 'fun' they break his face...
Now they are getting experimental subjects by threatening prisoners with death...then it is hinted at by the doctors that they are likely going to kill him anyway...
At what point does continuing to help these psychos sound like a good idea?...
If they are this bad now do you think it is going to get any better?...
Hmm... Yes, it's definitely №2 here. Pinkie was helpful and logical for way, way too long. She should be ready do explode by now!
And we don't want her to explode, don't we?
2 and 3 are risky. 1 seems the most likely, but I don't know if the others are going with. I'll go with 4.
6525766 The thing is, most of the bad you're talking about was done by soldiers.
They basically have carte blanche to to use whatever means they want to, as long as they get the job done.
The higher officers might not be the same, and though they can hardly have a talk to every one of their soldier doing bullshit because of the crisis (or maybe don't care/ don't have the time to take care of it), they are the ones taking decision like the execution of a non-threatening prisonner, and I think they would be more inclined to listen to scientists, and ponder over the consequences their actions than their troops.
That's why they are officers, after all.
6527152 The officer's have little to no control over their rabid soldiers.
Even the doctors seem to act like death threats are normal, and that complaining (presumably to the officers) will only make it worse by resulting in her new friends death anyway because...hey why not?...were soldiers and we like death here at this facility!
If these useless officers do exist in this facility then they obviously are dropping all kinds of balls over there, and have little control over the situation...do you really think that as this plague progresses that this uncontrollable situation is going to get better?
They need to leave before these psychotic soldiers and their useless officers start executing the infected.
2 sounds the most fitting with the Pie personality and something I would more than likely attempt myself...besides chance for more infections?
3 or 5please. I believe rescuing the man may end up in pinkie losing any credibility. And while 4 seems like the most pinkie thing todo, I just don't feel the story going there. As for princess hunt she wouldn't have to look far eh?
2 and 3.
a sneaky rescue.
maybe bring her friends and start an adventure to find the princess without local authority? Sounds like fun!
#2, and then #3, with him in tow.

Don't forget that, for most of them, ponies are the equivalent of zombies. And if anything goes wrong, it could be a lot worse than with regular prisoners. They are not psychotic, they are doing their job. You know why they made it inside the area? Thanks to the "useless officers" cover.
The soldiers won't go against the orders of their officers.
The soldiers' hyper aggressive way of dealing with the ponies comes from the fear of a breach, and I guess the heads think it's the less risky way. The best way to change that would be to show them they have little to fear from at least a few of them.
But I guess we can't have a definitive opinion until we've seen what command them in here, or even if it's in the building or if they are given orders from somewhere else.
Sorry I made those comments before about 16 but now ( missed the new chapter). But now it's for chapter 17 and I would love to see 3 or 5 please...
6528911 Yes they did make it inside...and then one of them was promptly shot dead...and then shot again...then they beat his sons face in for good measure...Wow that is amazing protection *slowly claps* bravo soldiers...bravo...
Hyper aggression, death threats, and 'voluntary' use of prisoners as disposable research material...yeah this can only get better as time goes on...

Allow me to quote:
They were warned.
Although, actually, you're right. Proper safety protocol would have called for shooting the kid too.
6529811 Then allow me to quote the line immediately following:
Clearly those dangerous parents consoling their frightened child were a clear and present danger to those solders...many yards away...with sniper rifles...why if they were not careful that child might have actually felt safe in their presence...can't have that.
I am sure it was also in their standing orders to make sure and mutilate the corpse as well...I mean how else are these brave 'stable' soldiers to relieve stress if they don't beat a dead horse...
As heartless as it feels, it is.
If infecteds start blatantly ignoring what the authorities say, even if it's to tend to their close ones, they are not trust worthy. Especially since he didn't even ask for permission of any sort.
And if they want to shoot a dead corpse to be sure it stays dead, that's up to them. It only makes it more sure he's dead. Although it would have been more correct to announce the death after the second shot. You'll notice there is no clue of him enjoying what he's doing, that's why I picture him more emotionless.
Man, I just realised that soldier made two mistakes in less than a minute! First, announce the death when it was still uncertain, then not shooting the kid. I would fire that guy, if I was his superior and could afford it.
6530049 Humans destroy what is different. Has not the history of this world taught you as much?
6604764
Correction, humans FEAR what is different and seek to understand it in order to rebuild confidence in said thing. Human only destroy the thing they don't understand when it's trying to kill them or if it goes against their religion.

The one thing in Japanese culture I detest is there military culture, specifically there so called honour code. Committing Harri-Kari and Kamikaze pilots taking out the enemy with their own lives in WW2 seemed idiotic. These guys aren't much better.
Isn't waking up before eating normal, even for Pinkie Pies?
