I love it so far! loved the "technicolor hair" bit. cant wait to see what comes next.
one tip for future chapters: DO NOT make Octavia and Vinyl romantically involved for until they had a good three or so chapters of conflict and another three of a good solid friendship that extends over some time. To many Octascratchers jump into the romance way to quick so dont fall into the same trap.

Also you gonna keep calling her DJ- Pon3? kinda odd if Vinyl's alone isn't it? Makes sense when she's around ponies who don't know her personally like in the episodes, but outside that.

You're right! And I hate writing Pon-3 every time, but as a character, I feel like that is what she goes by. At least at this point with these people.
