22 y.o. brony here, putting my best hoof forward in an attempt to conjure up words for a fan-fiction :D

E

Sometimes fate finds you on your journey to avoid it.

For a unicorn pony that couldn't cast a single spell if his life depended on it, Star Swirl wished upon a star that magic would help him get rid of an apparition that taunted him ever since he was born. He would have never believed that several decades later, in the royal palace nevertheless, there would be a library aisle named after him. The record of his journey was read by few and almost forgotten, in the least trotted section of that very same library. And it would have stayed just as dusty and abandoned had it not been for an inquisitive young filly looking for books to read as it was one of those moments when the late hours of the night caught her hoof-deep in her reading instead of being in bed...

I can tell this is gonna be good. One small thing, though:
"it would read you just as much as you read it."
Either i'm reading that the wrong way, or you might have italicized the wrong thing.

Nope, it's intentional. It's not "reading" per se, it's more of an attunement of sorts. And the book is somewhere at the boundary between a living being and an object, so it's not exactly an "it" either

505962 Ah, I see. However, for future reader's sakes you might go back and touch up that line. After all, if I didn't get the line, what are the chances of other readers getting it?
Typing that out, I realize how conceited that makes me look. However, in all honesty I'm only using myself as an example. I do the same thing whenever i'm editing or trying help someone else out with their story. Basically, the logic goes someting like "If I had to have it explained to me by the author him/herself, then it didn't get the point across clearly enough and should be edited so that it will be easier for future readers to understand."

:rainbowlaugh: I understand, I'll look into it :P

Sorry, idk12345678910, no spoilers for the future readers!

How is it that such a Brilliant. Piece of work has so few reviews and ratings!?

The only thing I would have liked to see would have been Twilight and Celestia's discussion of the book, but that is the only thing more I could want from this story. You did a wonderful job.
