You'd better start a new line or paragraph when the speaker changes.
Helps guide the reader through the dialogue, especially when half of the piece is composed of speeches.
Lol, on my other fanfic, someone said they HATED I changed for each speaker.
And yes, the chapters are short. It's to more effectively streamline content in a way that isn't clumsy.

There are several good examples for handling the dialogue-speaker-paragraph issue. The more you read, the better you will be

Oh, and for those concerned about length, most everything I have done is short. This will likely be 20-30 pages at most.

Wouldn't matter. Whatever magic she has would be completely powerless against The Darkness. The Darkness is extremely powerful and is capable of even the most powerful magicks.

Dear past, about 38 weeks ago, this author just canceled his fanfic. Now I didn't notice until today. Kinda sad, seeing such a good story wasted
