Chapter 4: Doors

Author's Note:

AN: I FINALLY GOT IT! I finally figured out how the FUCK I was going to continue. I hope you enjoy this chapter. The random chaos will resume further, as I am now able to think about the fanfic more, sorta. I am going to be working on the chapters every weekend. Now, for the apologies. I am sooooooo fucking sorry for my writers block, and for my life being filled with other things going on. BTW, I will be working on my previous chapters as they need reworking. Also, I have an idea with parteon. I found out something pretty cool. I can get a link to the chapter on google docs. With that, you can view the new chapter as it is being made. And talk with me along the way. There are other links that allow direct commenting, and I think I’ll worry about that later. If you guys think that would be cool, comment ‘#patreonfic’ along with whatever you want, be creative. Last but not least, I hope you all enjoy the new chapter!

Darker Than Magic

Chapter 4: Doors

I opened the door to the six figures. As I did, they all pounced on me. I was immediately held down to the floor by the weight. My ears were filled with the sounds of whimpering, happiness, and squees of joy. While my lungs were completely depleted of air, I managed to get two words out.

“Help… me” I wheezed.

All six of them realized that I was dying, and quickly got up to allow the air to return to my lungs. After a bit more tears had fallen, and more breathtaking hugs, it was time to get down to business.

With a brand new smile on my face, I found a joy that I hadn’t seen in a long time. It was immeasurable, and overwhelming. I couldn’t stop smiling. I began to mutter the same words I would say when I was young.

“This is the best day ever.”

As soon as everyone was in the kitchen, with all the ruckus going on, it was no surprise when my mother was awake. She stood in the doorway, slack jawed without uttering a word. All I could do was just smile back at her. My mind had been completely blank the entire time, so there wasn’t much for me to say. Then, as the world began to make sense again, I heard voices asking questions.

“Is this your mother darling?” asked Rarity with her fashionista accent.

I nodded, as words still were stuck swirling in my mouth. All six said hello just after my mother had regained her composure. It was nice to see everyone again. Wait… again? I’ve never met them until now. Well, except watching the show. This was getting weird, and my vision wasn’t helping the situation. Things started to blur and spin. As my next passout began, I could hear worried voices just as everything blacked out.

As I woke up, I realized it wasn’t my bed, but the couch in the living room. It was daylight at the time. The next thing that I discovered was that no one was in the house. This was discovered after I had managed to get up and actively look. When I had reached the kitchen, I found a note. As it lay on the freshly cleaned countertop, it read:

Dear Tristan,

We are happy to have found you, but it seems that we have found some flaws. So, in order to make sure that you are you, you will need to complete some tasks for us. You must first find your phone, as this will be your guide. We will continue from there.

“Oh boy, this will be fun.” I said in a sarcastic voice.

As I searched the house for my phone, I heard a ring coming from my pocket. I reached in to find my phone. I turned it on and accepted the call. The voice was a recording of Twilight.

“I see you are ready to begin, so let us start” the recording said.

Something seemed odd about her voice. It almost seemed devious. I listened further.

“First, you must begin by removing the element from your neck.”

I then proceeded to take it off with my mind. And as it did before, it popped itself off.

“Next, think of the colors red and green spinning in your head clockwise.”

As I closed my eyes, I did just that, only to feel hot spots on the back of my hands. I ignored the feeling, continuing my concentration. Then, a few images popped in and out of my mind. One of the pictures was a wolf, another a dragon, the final a pony. Then, a new image of me popped in. This image stood behind the pony. Next, another dragon appeared behind the picture of me. Finally, another wolf appeared in front of the pony. The expressions on the four faces were the exact same. A flash, and it was all gone.

“Lastly, you must utter the name ‘Silvermoon’ to finish your tasks.” As the recording hung up, I spoke.

“Silvermoon” I said, only to be surrounded by a shadow.

The shadow encasing me proceeded to wrap itself along every part of my body. As it continued, it opened the feeling of pain. Agony was felt over each cell in my body. It increased in intensity, and worsened as I tried to scream. Soon, my body reacted on its own, and began to try and cut myself. My mind was filled with images of ponies being tortured and killed, then humans, followed by dragons and wolves. What happened next was the raping of every woman in each of the races, then captured for torture and slavery. It was total and utter hell. Then, a being showed itself as the culprit. She laughed maniacally as she watched over the slaves. Her minions chiming in on the laughter as the horrific scene ended.

I was back in the kitchen, but this time I wasn’t alone. Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Fluttershy, and Twilight all right sitting in a circle around me. Their eyes slightly glowing before returning to normal. They weren’t in their anthropomorphic form. They were their pony selves.

I coughed violently. Wincing, a hoof ran across my back. I opened my eyes as red surrounded my eyes. A little more focusing later and I realized that it was my ‘hands’, or what was left of my hands. In turn of my hands, I found hooves, deep blue, with a red fur coat covering my arms. I then tested the move of standing up, and for another cliche moment I, once again, blacked out.
