6118618 Y'know, Dr. Hooves asked that same question in "Slice of Life"
I like this ending better then the actual episode. Spitfire should have been reprimand as well as Fleetfoot for there actions.
Nope. That was definitely some sleazy moves Spitfire pulled. Spitfire is an... interesting character. She seems decent over all, but when her 'win at all costs' personality rears it's head, it lets a lot of less than ideal things happen.
This alternative more than makes up for the arc that was destroyed in the original.
Great job with this chapter. While I do feel bad for Spitfire, I think she deserved what she got. Question though, Did Spitfire still give Rainbow the Wonderbolt pin? Also I have to say this, but I'm not liking the new Midnight Persona. He seems a bit more cocky and sneaky. I really don't like that shift with Midnight. I also how he realizes that with his element, he needs to have faith in Twilight and his friends, not just in himself. Good luck with the next chapter.
6126547 Spitfire did give Rainbow the pin.
But remember this about Midnight - This is a reincarnated Midnight that existed in Equestria even before his past self originally came into this world.
His ascension to alicorn prince brought him years of sadness and tragedy, and he acted as a covert agent for Celestia, seeing corruption in the supposed shining society that is the Equestrian nation and it has left a part of him jaded and cynical, especially after all the secrets he's lived with, that hes still living with
...And these secrets are gonna come and bite him in the tail now that he's reunited with hsi friends and Twilight
6126753 I understand. It's, I miss Midnights positive attitude. Now he is slight narcissistic or Realist. Anyway. I encourage you read the story. I can't wait to read when Cheese gets on the scene. Good luck with the next chapter. I can't wait to see if you handle Eris and her glass of water, for the next chapter.
6126802 I see him having a more realistic view and a bit of arrogance coming from knowing the truth of corruption and a loss of some of his old optimism from seeing all sorts of evils, not just from his past self's journey through time but also from ponies that live under Celestia's benevolence but have also done terrible things right under her nose
Some of it's returned by his reuniting with hsi friends and family but years of covert missions and dealing with the worst sort of criminals duzent just go away over night
6128089 So they wouldn't alienate him
To Be Honest I Really Didn't Like Soarin Quitting. I Get What You Were Going For But At The Same Time Soarin Was Really The Only GOOD Bolt Left At This Time. I Feel Like Quitting Really Damages The Wonderbolts And Without Soarin They're Probably Gonna Crumble. I Really Wish Rather Than Quitting He Would End Up Becoming Spitfire's Teacher And Set The Bolts On The Right Path. It's Your Story Though And I Can Go Along With This Route, I Just Personally Feel Like It's Not The Best Option. Still A Great Chapter Though! Loving The Story Dude :3
Edit: Rereading this much later I take back everything I said XD Everything done was much better to do than the actual episode and very much the right call!
Ouch. There is nothing worse than bringing dishonor to your family.
