An encounter with an exotic mare leaves Prince Blueblood in an unexpected situation, one he will have to deal with for months, eleven months to be specific.
This chapter is basically slice-o-life instead of comedy, as is much of the story. I really like it, but the story only has the tag for comedy. Have you considered changing the tags?
Writing that down was... brave. And a nice twist of the knife about Twilight's "I outrank you" comment. Twilight hates being put on a pedestal, but that's what she herself did when she said that Blueblood's choice of life was petty. Let's see how that feels when she reads it.
Ahh-Ha, Now all need needs is to connect his current state to the countless mares he put in that state and we just might have the making of a reformed pony.
Way I see it if its good for the goose its good for the gander. Since BB was ok with doing it to others then its fine to have happend to him. But realizing the pain he has inflicted is now ironically being inflicted on him would most likely make him think about the consequences of his actions. I have faith BB will take his ordeal to heart and come out the better for it.
3910062 Yeah, I know what you mean. It's just that psychologically, that approach usually doesn't work, despite it sounding logical. Perhaps he's the exception.
I thought only Sociopaths were unable to understand the feelings of others. I dont think Blueblood is actually incapable of feeling guilt or remorse here he just has a low opinion of others. All the mares he sleeps with are sycophants deserving of their fate or conquests to be overcome. This could humanize (poniefy?) them in his mind and maybe open the door for him to change. But just like any sort of change it all falls on the individual to see them through or else as you said it will not work.

It is a little surprising no-character really seems to consider what he wants. Imagine if the sexes were reversed, here, and a woman was basically raped - or otherwise infected with something, purposefully - and then given these lectures on grinning and bearing it. Well, certainly there ARE women put in that position in real life, but not typically by those we would consider as protagonists in a story.
No matter, I suppose. I'm here mostly for the Ponyville stuff, and I'm still enjoying it.
4383502 I somehow missed that one on several read-throughs! Thanks.
And just to be clear here, Blueblood and Melodia's night together was completely consensual, and while both parties understood that sex can lead to pregnancy, Blueblood didn't remember just who was at risk for pregnancy.
6591124 Could have been one of mine. I think I first shipped them in A Taxing Evening.
This story probably predates their on-screen nuzzling . . . I think it was the episode where the mane 6 went to the Crystal Empire to shill for the friendship games.
Incidentally, please tell me you wrote a follow-up story where Golden Harvest and Not Written Script raise the foal.
She retreated to the kitchen, coming back with a kettle of boiling water and a cup with willow bark.
Gotta headache? try all natural Aspirin.
“Forever!” Pinkie Pie warned. Blueblood blinked. The pink mare had popped out of a vase that was clearly too small to fit her. And besides, wasn’t she supposed to be in Canterlot?
A Shitstorm's a brewin'.

Nice to see Blueblood growing, and in more ways than one.
3908415 I'm not sure why I left off the Slice of Life tag.

Unfortunately, that's not how behaviour is usually learned. Plus, we'd need to have a redemption story about Melodia then^^

6589448 Yeah, yeah. It was long after I wrote this that I first saw those two characters together. It was probably in one of your stories.

6591148 There is a sequel, Heritage. But it's set when the foal is 15 years old.

I'm still freaked every time she does that.
