An encounter with an exotic mare leaves Prince Blueblood in an unexpected situation, one he will have to deal with for months, eleven months to be specific.
Bravo, for doing this little shift. Its a rare blueblood to make both believable and still true to himself. So, bravo. just bravo, you convey so much here. And yet, more to come.
It was really enjoyable. Bravo. And to be honest, I still hope that Blueblood would... how should I say it in English... make ties (?) with his son, and, one day, reveal the truth, first to the Goldens and then to Blue Seas. ... is there any chance for a sequel?
This is a very touching story. I loved every moment of it... I can't wait to see the last chapter to round all of this out. It will be intersting and cool to see in the end... And I love how he has changed up to this point. But seeing it come to light in the final chapter will be the cherry on top!
I'd almost forgotten Twilight's checklist obsession... You'd think, though, that since this is just a seahorse inspired biology, that the pouch would just give way like a c-section or like a marsupial's pouch. Bah. No point dwelling on it, anyway.

But, yes, having him change his mind would have been cliche, I agree. The way it worked out here, it worked out well.
4383679 On one hoof, I could make the birth process as much like seahorses as possible. On the other hoof, I could make it like human labor, and have Blueblood cry out for drugs spells to deal with the pain. Which do I want to see happen to Blueblood?

And redemption.
I've enjoyed following this story, and it has been satisfying every step of the way. I look forward to the epilogue!

That said, I have to wonder if there is really protection for an ovipositor.
