I don't now if it's my interest in medieval history, or my archaic sense of Romance, but I really enjoy all the politicaly motivated aspects of stories like this. It's well written and fills in some blanks for me. Thumbed and fave'd. Well done sir/madam

I was actually hoping to keep the matter a little ambiguous. I can't help but enjoy characters whose motives aren't entirely clear from time to time.
Could use some more attention grabbing bits and maybe a bit of more action but this has some potential
