It's clear that that is not a Flying Fortress, but a B-52 Stratofortress. Stating something in a description and having something completely different as cover art coincides about as well as hot pink and vomit green.
That's already a bad sign, so I'll have to keep looking on to see if it can get any worse.

Check your spelling, facts, and accuracy regarding the B-17, and make the plot seem less... silly. A pair of human patriots (Because it's obvious that you can fly, operate, land, navigate, and control a B-17 with two people, instead of a 10-person crew.) fly around in a perfectly flyable WWII-era aircraft, using the forward-mounted machine guns to shoot down Equestrian airships in a matter of seconds? That goes beyond my Willing Suspension of Disbelief.
I like your vocabulary, descriptions, and overall writing style, but you're writing what seems to be a hackneyed plot. I'll be following this.
