Applejack is warned by her friends of a convicted serial killer on the loose and is invited to stay over at the library to be safe. Being the only one left to look after the farm, she stays at Sweet Apple Acres with her dog and lifelong pal, Winona. With one of Winona's reassuring licks, Applejack had nothing to fear or does she?

My first fan-fiction here and also my first dark one - I don't usually write these kinds of stories. A good opportunity to explore genres though and now that's fun.

Anyways, this is based on an idea by C0NN3X105 who beholds quite an imagination. Actually, it's based on that Urban Legend, "The Licked Hand" only ponified.

Characters may be out-of-character but that's fan-fiction for you and I make a lot of mistakes (and that's why spell-check was invented).

Just because you get rid of the mastermind himself, doesn't mean he ever leaves for good. In the wake of Discord's defeat, he leaves many traces of himself behind. Some are as easy as a whisper, while others are fearsome creatures, or pseudo offspring. Discord may be stone, but his legacy and idea lives on. After all, you can't kill an idea.

There's a huge fence that separates Sweet Apple Acres from Carrot Tops farm. And when you have a neighbour across that fence, at times you just stand on opposite sides, talking.

That's the setup for the joke, and from there - everything is possible!

Applejack was having a normal day when all of a sudden Fluttershy is being rather panicky, asking her to take strange routes through town and not through the quicker paths. Applejack is mostly fine with this, wanting to comfort her friend, but soon she will realize just why her friend was acting like that.

After receiving a letter stating she must depart, Twilight Sparkle spends her last day with her friends. However, it turns out that she is not the only pony leaving as her friends have made their own plans for the future.

After reading about the next generation being planned for September 2021, my heart wept. I decided write a farewell love letter to the generation that helped me find a purpose.
