If Twilight wants to be accepted as the rightful ruler of Equestria, she must be able to raise the sun all on her own. Thankfully, Celestia's many years managing a self-conscious student has taught her a thing or two about getting Twilight to do things.

Rainbow Dash has only ever been in love once. So when that love's threatened, she'll smash her way through the entire universe if she has to in order to set things right.

An entry in the Poetry Group's 2024 Pony Poetry Contest, this story gained an Honorable Mention.

On a technical note, the rhythm here is supposed to be iambic pentameter from stem to stern. The rhyme scheme traces its roots back to the terza rima Dante Alighieri first used five hundred years ago in the Divine Comedy, but I'm using the English-language variation that Percy Shelley came up with a little over two hundred years ago for his "Ode to the West Wind." This variation inserts couplets after four stanzas of terza rima to break the narrative into something kind of like a series of Shakespearean sonnets.

Because, I mean, why wouldn't a person do that?

Angel wakes up in a dark void having no idea where he is. Until a mysterious voice starts talking to him. The voice tells Angel that the void he is in is called the darkness. And he tells Angel to stop being a spoiled brat and appreciate all the things Fluttershy does for him. And one day Fluttershy is going to die and Angel will have to go to a different owner who might mistreat him. So Angel starts to listen to what this voice has to say.

Octavia Melody and the crew of Defiance are stationed on the outer edge of Imperial space, stuck patrolling a quiet sector. That changes when they are attacked by an unusually well-coordinated group of space pirates. After her request to pursue the pirates is denied by her superiors, Octavia convinces her crew to join her and track down their assailants in spite of their orders. Now, they embark on a one-way trip in hopes of finding the hiding place of the Azure Syndicate and, possibly, a place in the history holobooks.

This story was something I attempted to write ages ago and found myself unable to continue in a way I liked. I figured I would at least publish what I have, and maybe inspire someone else to take a swing at a similar concept.

Having made it back to Hurricanum, it's time Squirrel heads on home to Wanderbelle. Seeing an opportunity to finally have that vacation, Twilight and Rainbow tag along to see what Avalon has to offer along the way.

In an alternate universe different to our own, the land of Equestria which once was a land of friendship, has now became an apocalyptic wasteland.

With danger lurking around every corner in this new world, the only way to survive is to stick close to your friends. In the apocalypse, friendship is the only way to survive.

Now Rainbow Dash along with her remaining friends Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy must rely on each other if they want to survive in this new world. But it won’t be easy. Especially with all the aforementioned danger lurking around.

But in an apocalyptic world where friendship is the key to survival, it will be a piece of cake for our three survivors.
