Unbeknownst to me, BronyWriter has long been a member of the Royal Guard. Yesterday, he jumped back in in a major way, and began reading stories left and right. I had to join in, as did a number of other folks, and between the lot of us we managed to process a whopping 15 stories in a single day, and put at least one decision (a consensus of at least two votes in the same direction are necessary to approve or disapprove of a story) on a bunch more.
Howdy folks!
With BronyCon in the rearview mirror, I’ve been feeling productive of late. While waiting on Thursday night for my roommates to arrive at the hotel, I started editing an old writeoff story of mine, and managed to finish it off and post it yesterday afternoon:
Three weeks after "School Daze", I finally saw my awesome Student Six again! Or, at least three of them..... Yona, Smolder and Sandbar were quite confused over Rainbow Dash geeking out for no apparent reason and without any explanation.
I know I'm late to promote. I was at the Eldritch Moon prerelease. Shut up.
So last week's is done, and this week's is a bunch of weird crossovers. Whoever's not going nuts yet, go nuts.
Sometimes, when I watch a new episode or read a new comic issue of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, what I see in it lines up perfectly with something that has happened to me before. "The Point of No Return" is one of these episodes. Even much more so than in the past, since I found myself in a similar situation as Twilight literally only a few days before it aired.
A road trip so incredible it could only be done the same way people did them way back in the Middle Ages the 1970s. In a station wagon, with no cell phone or GPS. The only way it could've been more '70s retro was if there was simulated woodgrain paneling on my Volvo. The destination?
And lots of it! I've added these to the individual chapter notes, but with as much work as RoyaleFanaticGal has put into all of these, I wanted to give her an artist showcase blog as well. I also want to express my thanks.
So.
Give or take nine years ago to this day, I boldly created an avatar on GeneralZoid (IIRC) and shortly thereafter a FimFic account. I had ideas, and I wanted to share them with the world.
How that went is for the jury to decide.
Hope you had fun with those crossovers. Some of those sounded like they hurt.
...oh, fuck me. Fuck me with a belt sander. I just looked at the link for your new one. It's Mykan. It's Starfleet.
"I think I'm in love," Aragón said, dreamy expression on his big dumb face. "My heart goes a-flutter every time I stop to picture the color of those lips."
Have you ever wanted to own an Ice Star book? Well, congrats! Now you can! At long last, twenty-two Ice Star stories are now in print. What stories might those be? Look no further than this blog. If you decide that you want my book, I'll PM you a link. I've decided to keep the access private. Here are the stories that you can buy:
In all honesty, I saw this short back when it first debuted on Disney+, having managed to regain access to one of my family member's accounts. And when I saw it...I was instantly blown away by how awesome it was! Everything about "Once Upon a Studio" was a truly beautiful way of celebrating Disney's 100th anniversary, and it was a genuinely touching tribute to Walt Disney himself as well. And to Burny Mattinson, considering he passed away before the short was released.
