Valiant Venture Reviews - Suicide Squad · 10:45pm Aug 7th, 2016

If I had to pick one movie that I was most excited for this year, it would be Suicide Squad. The premise just looked so fun and entertaining. So imagine my delight when I was given a free pass to see the film two days early. I attended Wednesday night’s 6:00 PM advance screening of Suicide Squad in Dolby Atmos. Was it worth watching?

Thoughts on Oppenheimer · 4:59am Aug 18th, 2023

I wasn't going to see this at first, initially. I've never been a fan of Christopher Nolan's work, and after "Tenet" came out I swore I'd never have anything to do with one of his films again... but my mom wanted to see this and I decided that I may as well tag along so she'd have someone to watch it with.

Imagine my surprise to find that I actually was able to sit through the entire three-hour runtime and not once find myself wishing that the movie would hurry up or just end.

Thoughts on "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" · 6:46am Apr 6th, 2016

Just got back from the big BvS:DoJ. I'm glad I saw it, which fulfills the purpose I had in dragging my friends out to go see it tonight in spite of all the reasons not to.

I'm not upset that I still haven't seen Man of Steel, in other words.

But I just had to see how this one turned out. Mostly because I'm Batman. And now I have. And I have thoughts on it.

Sex Madness (1938) · 6:46pm Feb 14th, 2017

February 14th to us it's known as Valentine's Day. The pony equivalent would be Hearts & Hooves Day. Both days exist so that couples can show their affection and all that jazz. That's why everything skyrockets in price on that day. Radio announcers hock flowers and strawberries while jewelry stores run their own ads.

Sima Yi was an ambitious Chinese politician and general. He was one of if not the top adviser to Cao Cao and most of his descendents. Through shrewd political maneuvering, force, and betrayal he was able to end the Three Kingdoms period in China and establish the Jin Dynasty which lasted from 265 - 420. So why do I bring any of this up? Well, if anyone could stand to learn a thing or two from Sima Yi it's Spike.

If friendship magic is the most powerful force in the universe and Princess Celestia is the most powerful alicorn in the world, why doesn't she have any friends? Has anyone else noticed this? Celestia doesn't hang out with anyone. Her big skill is she can raise the sun. So in other words she is skilled at turning the light on. She used to be able to turn the light off too but, I guess her shorter sister who has to monitor all of the world's dreams took that job too.
