To my dear readers,
Good day to you, and I hope you are well.
2023 is coming to a close, and boy what a year it's been...
Though I don't know your own experiences this year, mine have certainly been wild; from losing my Google Account & YouTube channel by way of a bot hack, to developing flu-induced pneumonia and almost dying, my 2023 has been utterly mental. 😵
Above all else, the biggest occurrence surrounds my husband Phoenix, and his ongoing transition.
New Year has come and gone, and things are... things.
I'm alive! And have writing news, enough so that I need to do a State of the Author post for the first time in a while. But in the meantime, a quick heads up:
I'm about to fly to Seattle for this year's Everfree Northwest! Expect author social time, general convention shenanigans, and drunken pony Tarot readings in the evenings once the liquor starts flowing.
Hey all. Thought I'd try to ring out 2023 with a listing of the five movies I thought were the best of the year.
Without further ado, let's begin:
5) Godzilla Minus One
Welcome back writers. I’d venture a guess that you’ll likely be able to guess what big event is going on this week simply by looking at today’s topic.
Since the previous chapter of The End of an Era, Thanksgiving, Christmas, the dawn of the New Year, and my 29th birthday have come and gone in the time I typed, and procrastinated on, the next chapter, Part 3 - Chapter 3 (Chapter 11 of the story as a whole). There were a bunch of other activities that I swore I wouldn't do again until I buckled down and got that long-overdue chapter done. Now that it's finished and published for you all to read (hope you enjoy it), I feel like
An early Merry Crimbus to everyone and I'm working on two or three different stories at once so the overall progress is slow but I don't foresee me releasing much of anything in January unless I focus hardcore on one story.
Might do that, but no promises. Still happy holidays and all that stuff. See you soon in 2024.
Hello again. I come bearing a massive announcement!
Pinkamena: Beasts of Fall is now in book form and will be sold at Ponyville Ciderfest's After Dark Vendor Hall on November 17th & 18th!
Well, damn. This is a long one.
So it turns out I made it to Everfree Northwest 2023 after all -- well, most of it. I did have to miss a big chunk of Saturday, unfortunately, and some of Friday evening. But I got to see almost all the panels I was most excited for, got to do the big activities that I was itching to do, and got to meet (or reunite) with so many members of our lovely fanfic community!
