Overall, this is a good episode. The characters show promise, though Neighsay isn't going to be everyone's favorite (despite his voice actor being Maurice LaMarche; the voice of Brain from Animaniacs and Pinky and the Brain). Twilight "following the book " is one of the few flaws I had with the episode. Still, good episode.
Oh my gosh! Yay, Christmas! Okay, I know I’m going to get a ton of flack for this, but I’m one of those crazy people who love celebrating Christmas early. I’m also not a fan of Halloween, but I digress. Anyway, let’s get to my thoughts, shall we?
This episode completely captured both the spirit of the show and the holidays, and it did so BEAUTIFULLY. And that song in the end, it was magic. I couldn’t stop listening to it. That’s probably my favorite part of the whole thing.
Man, it's a trip to think that it's been so long. It's probably a lucky thing I got into pony on the ground floor, as if I'd stumbled across it, say, now, with over 150 episodes (and counting!), I'd probably write it off and just go find something better to do with my life. Which maybe means I would've written the great american novel instead of hundreds of thousands of words of pony story, but hey, what can you do.
Never let it be said that I hold grudges. I mean, I do, but DON'T NOBODY SAY NOTHIN! GOT IT!? Ahem. . . I still hate the movie, and just thinking about it makes me want to spit acid and strangle puppies. Just watched the season 8 premiere. I hadn't watched the trailer or read the episode summary so I came in blind. Initially, I was kind of surprised they did such a direct tie-in for the movie, but given the impact it had it makes sense. I liked that they brought in all the different creatures... But I was kind of puzzled they didn't bring in other creatures. I mean, in earlier seasons we've had buffalo, zebras, and donkeys! It just seems like if they wanted to be getting across the
