To be fair, striking them down in the middle of the school, in the middle of Ponyville wouldn't have been the smartest move EvilTwi. Especially since she was outnumbered.

That's… disappointing…
As someone who is a sucker for the evil counterpart concept, I really wanted to see an episode like this for some time now. Sadly Our Heroes never fight their evil counterparts or are you going to wear of their existence. Not to mention the fact that the Clones die at the end of the episode, which is really disappointing considering the fact that they would have made interesting recurring antagonists…
However not everything about it was bad, the evil counterparts interactions were actually pretty amusing at certain points. Especially with how they drove Chrysalis herself and nuts throughout the episode...
This episode had potential, but sadly it didn't capitalize on it.
I give this episode 5 out of 10.

I agree with you. For a mid season finale, this was disappointing. Chrysalis reappears after 2 seasons, and the Mane Six don't encounter her, or even the Mean Six? WHY!?
Episode had a lot of potential that it missed out on.
To me, one of the bad parts of this episode is that the Mane Six still think it was their FRIENDS doing bad stuff to each other and not copies. X_x
