I am a proud member of the fandom. Not this fandom but The Fandom. The Fanfiction Fandom to be precise. That means I read more fanfiction of a show than I actually watch, supposing I ever got around to watching it in the first place. When I create a character, I usually like them right off the bat. Sometimes I'll grow to love them over time (Lyric and Halo). Sometimes, looking back, I feel like I could have done better (Unison). And sometimes they surprise me by sticking around for more than one story (Dashing Hoof). But, with my upcoming story, there is one character who surprised me from the start. His name is Finner.
