I'm going to my first MLP convention: Ponyville Ciderfest 2017! I've been to conventions before, but never one for this fandom in particular. Ideally, I would have gone to Bronycon instead, but I still don't have a job, and plane tickets are expensive. In contrast, Milwaukee is within driving distance of where I live. Ponyville Ciderfest is also almost as large in scope, complete with multiple voice actors in attendance.

I'll be absent from Fimfiction for a few days now, as I'm going to be at this year's UK PonyCon in Nottingham. It's possible I might look in on this site occasionally, but don't count on it. I'll be back on Monday, but it might be another day or two before I get my, er, unconventional bearings back.

Got home a couple of hours ago. Had a fantastic time. Proof that a great convention doesn't have to have a huge attendance or big-name guests. This was my sixth. It was also the best. Proper report coming in due course.

Taps is playing. Damn good set. Liked Garnika and Psycosis. Fuck I'm old though. Not 19 anymore. Got tired after just an hour. Niece is having fun. She had a picture with Garnika and an autograph. (I think she has a star crush on him, lol)

Only for one day, sadly, but I plan to be at Ponyville Ciderfest all day Saturday. I live just close enough to make the drive there and back. If I had thought ahead on how close it was, I probably would have tried to attend all the days, but I think it's better than nothing.

If anyone is going to be there, let me know and we can maybe meet up. I don't really know how big the writing presence is at non-Bronycon conventions.

UK PonyCon was glorious. I am so happy to have been there. Now I'm going to sleep for about 300 hours.

No, not this weekend. Next weekend. I'll be off at UK PonyCon for the sixth year running, and I hope I'll see one or two of you there! On a very short notice whim, I will be at Whinny City Pony Con this weekend. Most likely for Friday and Saturday, though maybe on Sunday as well.

It's my first time attending, so I'm not sure what I'll be doing, but I hope to have a great time and, like always, buy way too much in the vendor hall.

Not holding a panel, unfortunately, but it's still pretty exciting! This is going to be my very first con and my first flight out of my state on my own. I'm going with a couple of people from EoJ - so this'll also be the first time I'm meeting any of them in person!

I'm nervous even though everything's booked - got my hotel, flight, 3-day badge, the works, aaaaghhhh
