an update

Hi all. I hope everyone is doing well. I've been taking an extended break from FimFiction lately. Had some undesirable interactions with some users. That coupled with some of my creative frustrations just makes logging on... kind of unpleasant? If I do log on, it's usually to try and catch up with the fics I'm reading and then I quickly log off. I'm just feeling drained with the MLP fanfic

ponies fix everything

New chapter for What They Hope to Find is out! I talk about what's next after the jump, but before that, a quick anecdote:
Last night, my family was having trouble finding something to watch together. My nine-year-old son didn't have any ideas, but he pretty much shot down every suggestion we had. Eventually, out of frustration and half-serious, I say, "Let's just watch ponies."

In preparation for my one day at BABSCon tomorrow...

1. Pack son's diaper bag.
2. Pack an extra set of clothes for me, hubby, and son.
3. Look at map to hotel and convention.
4. Charge the super expensive camera I'm borrowing from big brother.
5. Get snacks and drinks for the trip.
6. Continue to resist buying random stuff so that I have more spending money at the con.
7. Double check with big brother to make sure niece has extra clothes/meds/whatever she needs for the con.
8. (addendum to line 6) Maybe look for white clothes to go through with cosplaying as Rarity?
9. Re-dye my hair purple, and maybe straighten it.
10. Ignore nagging mother.
11. Finish Chapter 17 for What They Expect to Give and send it to Editor tonight.
12. Maybe get cash from bank?
13. GET PSYCHED.
