Friendship is Magic first impressions review: Triple Threat (s07e15)

(SPOILERS!)
We go from a dumb (yet funny) meta episode, to a Spike-centered sitcom. This is anything but Gauntlet of Fire.

Friendship is Magic first impressions review: To Change a Changeling (s07e17)
by Obake
(SPOILERS!)
This episode is lame. All of the potential the Changelings had to still be interesting has been squandered under the heel of Hasbro's boot. Remember in Triple Threat, how we learned there were still rogue changelings in existence? According to this episode, Thorax has already converted all of them to be good, off screen, save for one. Talk about a let down.
Whoo, what a surprise for me after a hard day of work!
First of all, we have the synopsis for the Season 7 premiere which, this time, is two back-to-back episodes with different titles: Celestial Advice and All Bottled Up! Maybe it's that Celestia episode we've all been waiting for?
Season 7 continues it's opening into the new set of episodes by carrying on with its slice of life episodes :)
And what better way to carry on with the slice of life show then with some family slice of life :D I don't know why, but when this show does family slice of life, they always end up as some of my favorite episodes:) Flutter Brutter being a good example of that:3
Friendship is Magic first impressions review: Royal Problems (s07e10)
by Obake
(SPOILERS!)
Dear Princess Luna,
Today I watched a play titled Royal Problems. It depicts the time Starlight was sent to help solve a friendship problem between you and your sister. The play has received negative press from ponies who feel the premise sounded too far fetched. But I went in with an open mind.
Friendship is Magic first impressions review: A Health of Information (s07e20)
by Obake
(SPOILERS!)
Zecora contracts an illness known as Swamp Fever, prompting Fluttershy and Twilight to head out and fine a cure. Another episode with a strangely “classic” feel, I neither hate or love it. For the most part, the basic story is fine. There are no major flaws, but a lot of little things that hinder it.
Friendship is Magic first impressions review: Secrets and Pies (s07e23)
by Obake
(SPOILERS!)
This episode wants to be Party of One and Mmmystery on the Friendship Express, but it fails. The premise is too vapid for any sort of drama, and the comedy is stilted and repetitive. Pinkie discovers a pie she baked for Rainbow Dash thrown into the garbage. Wondering why Rainbow would waste food, she recalls that she's never actually seen Dash eat any pies she's made.
Friendship is Magic first impressions review: Uncommon Bond (s07e24)
by Obake
(SPOILERS!)
Starlight worries that Sunburst has more in common with her friends than with her. This is yet another blah episode, that's not so much bad as it is sort of empty. It certainly drags out its length with not one, but three montages, and a nonsensical schmaltz ending a la Once Uoon a Zeppelin. But it is far from the worst.
No spoilers!
All this hype... only to sleep through the premiere. NO SPOILERS!
(Sorry for the images in advance that couldn't be shown here on the blog post for some reason:/ Fimfiction can be weird sometimes I swear:/)
Wow, Season 7 is treating Fluttershy and her fans well by giving us “Fluttershy Leans In”, “Discordant Harmony”, that little bit involving her in “Fame and Misfortune”, and now “A Health of Information”:D
Friendship is Magic first impressions review: Honest Apple (s07e09)
by Obake
(SPOILERS!)
Rarity chooses Applejack as one of the judges for her latest fashion contest. That last sentence sounds ridiculous, but the episode offers a reasonable excuse: Applejack has a keen eye for practicality, something regular judges tend to lack. When she finally accepts the offer, it is believable. The setup is quickly established, and everyone is in character. The first few scenes are great.
That’s right y’all, I’m finally reviewing that Brony criticism episode and that return of our new Changeling overlord episode:D Yay!
Much like “Campfire Tales” and “To Change A Changeling” back to back, we have another MLP lore episode and a slice of life episode [although “To Change A Changeling” episode is a mixture of a subtle plot development episode (due to the fact that it is expanding on the conflict that Thorax has to face as leader and might hint to a future confrontation with Chrysalis) and a slice of life episode] back to back:) Except “Daring Done” has a different approach to explaining the MLP lore and “It’s the
I gotta say, these two episodes were fun:) Especially “To Change a Changeling”:) But first, let’s start with “Campfire Tales”:
The story starts with a nice continuity nod by the writers by having the sister gang’s annual big sis & little sis camping trip:) With less luggage this time;)
Guess what you guys?:D Two for the price of one type reviews are back!:D Since I'm so behind on these reviews, I figured, I can get away with this:D Yay for getting away with stuff!:D
Just watched next week's episode (last sunday for Canada) and I have only thing to say:
Wings are hands now. That's official.
Guys,...guys...this episode...is...important :D
(Literally, Sugar Belle's face here is my face after watching this episode)
