Miss Koi Finally Reviews “Discordant Harmony” and “The Perfect Pear”

Guess what you guys?:D Two for the price of one type reviews are back!:D Since I'm so behind on these reviews, I figured, I can get away with this:D Yay for getting away with stuff!:D

I'm sure that all of you were very eager of my reaction to these two episodes, especially of Discordant Harmony;) Gee, I wonder why;) And just to not beat around the bush, I give both of these episodes 10 thousand hearts out of 10^^ <3! Thus, making these two episodes at the very top of my list of favorite episodes for this season^^! I gee, I wonder why I clinged to these episodes so passionately;) *cough cough Shipping cough cough*!

Haha lol, let’s put all these emotions into words shall we?;) And let’s start with the Fluttercord, Discordant Harmony BD Yeah boi!

Because there’s so many moments that I love in this episode and that there is so much Fluttercord scenes to go over, its time for Missy’s Fluttercord play-by-play lighting round!:D (Oh boy, this is going to be a long one, probably the longest string of Fluttercord moments in the show so farJ Victory! I mean the whole episode is just one big Fluttercord moment, but I’m going to highlight my favorites)

1)      We start with, like all great Fluttercord episodes do, with Tuesday Tea at Fluttershy’s houseJ And we find out that Discord is not the only one who makes a special kind of sandwich for special somepony, apparently Fluttershy makes her special crusts with crust-less carrot giner sandwiches. Dawww! (Note: I’m going to use this word a lot during this review) Oh! Those look good, definitely want to make some for meJ And cucumber sandwiches of course too;)

3)      Discord and the audience takes great notice of how much work and effort Fluttershy puts into the tea parties she has with Discord!:3 For example, not only a tea set and sandwiches, but also an entire tea part cart and tray with other teas and foods and sandwiches, and (the best part in my opinion) she has knitted/stitched/hoof made (I’m assuming it’s her, it has to be her, who else would make these pillow?!XD) two pillows:D! One of her and Discord, and one of just Discord himself!:D Double squee! I need these pillows in my life! Oh my gosh, I need to make these!:D She loves Discord so much to not just make one pillow, but TWO pillows!:D One of them together and one of her hubsando’s perfection!:D And then she just passes off as nothing and of course she would, anything for her hubsando;) Am I right you guys?;)

4)      Discord uses this recognition to give him the idea of having the next tea party at his placeJ Yay! Then, Fluttershy asks that if Discord was sure about that because she doesn’t want him to give so much trouble. Then, he says she’s no trouble at all:3 Daww!

5)      As soon as Discord realizes he has never had a tea party before, he has a freak out moment that any boy has when having his dream girl over at his placeXD Panicking!XD I feel ya Discord, I can’t believe we’ve went this long without having a Tuesday Tea at your place!:D But then again, you’ve always been the shy one Discord my boy when it comes to asking Fluttershy out on a date;)

6)      Discord and Fluttershy are both really looking forward to it, leading to this moment where Discord says “See you tomorrow!” POOF! He disappears, then he reappears and says “I can’t wait!” Then, Fluttershy lets out a cute little giggle that practically screams “Daww, he’s so cute<3”

7)      Then, we have the whole conversation between Discord, his “logical side” (by the way, his logical side was the funniest part of this episodeXD), and the old lady in the parkXD This conversation reveals that Fluttershy makes Discord want to be a better draconequus and that Fluttershy deserves the best of everything and he wants to spoil her and give her the best of everything:3! DAWWW!

8)      “A tea party WORTHY of Fluttershy!” <3

(Not that I’m complaining of course, they were another favorite part of the episode for me because now I want to try Ginseng tea:D Wow, this episode got we really hungry and thirsty huh 0-0?)

9)      Now we get the interesting part where the tea shop pony points out how different Discord and Fluttershy are from each other and revealing how surprised she is that they are friends. Discord immediately gets defensive with this and one of his points was that Fluttershy gets him and this tea shop pony clearly does notXD Oh boy, this conversation with the tea shop pony is only the start of Discord’s problems:

10)   Daww, he ordered and took the “Tea for two” set:3

11)   Anyway, like before in the tea shop, Discord gets adorably defensive over another pony surprised by/didn’t understand his friendship with Fluttershy. However, this defensiveness increasesXD :3 Despite their differences, they’re besties:3 <3

12)   Poor Discord, he lets the shop ponies’ comments and the pressure of impressing Fluttershy get to him:’( Poor needy potato baby:’(

13)   Haha lol Discord calling Pinkie Pie Fluttershy’s close but not best friendXD Since that position is naturally taken by him;) Don’t worry Discord, Fluttershy so knows this and puts you on top of another list too;) Lol! I also love afterwards that Pinkie takes no offense to it and says that Discord knows Fluttershy so well, dawww:3 Does that mean Pinkie ships them too?!XD Lol jk!

But yeah it’s interesting to see not only Discord’s true insecurities coming out, but also see that usually Discord doesn’t care what ponies think of him, but that changes if this kind of perspective is pointed negatively on his relationship with Fluttershy and how this might affect her perspective on him and their relationship, which in my opinion, shows the audience just how much he cherishes her and doesn’t want her go <3 He is willing to do whatever it takes to remove the paths that might block his relationship and happiness with Fluttershy, even it means changing chaotic in his nature, looks, demeanor, and house:’)! Without even a second thought (unlike in S6 finale with some complaint)! dawww baby cakes:’)! I like how most of the reactions I’ve seen point out how much our baby kins has grown by pointing out how much Discord is willingly to sacrifice:3

16)   Time for the old classic makeover montage where the boy with the crush tries to impress the girl with his new look;) And what better way to start then with having your girl’s hair cut on youXD Nice Discord, it’ll win her heart for sure;) Stick with that one!

17)   Even though Fluttershy was surprised and disappointed by how un chaotic the inside of Discord’s house is, she still says its lovely and Discord’s face just lights up when she said that:3 <3 XD Dawww! Discord, stop being adorable!XD

18)   Oh my gosh I just love how excited Flutters is to see the wonderful chaotic-ness that Discord has at this tea party, but then how disappointed she was whenever Discord presented something boring and normalXD Oh Fluttershy, you’re so adorable in this too!:3 I’m not saying stop, continue being adorable with your hubsando:3

My heart againL It broke my heart seeing Fluttershy so worried and concerned and just pleading with Discord to stop being normal and go back to his chaotic self once she saw that he was disappearing <3 But, because Discord gets caught up in his emotions and plans so easily, it hard for him to listen to her or anypony for that matter and turn himself back to normal:’( [img][url=https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/mlp/images/a/ab/Fluttershy_pleading_to_Discord_S7E12.png/revision/latest?cb=20170806191544%5b/img]https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/mlp/images/a/ab/Fluttershy_pleading_to_Discord_S7E12.png/revision/latest?cb=20170806191544[/img[/url]] Although, I couldn’t help but crack up when Fluttershy said this line “Being normal is destroying you!” and the reason why I laughed was because being normal for Discord would destroy him and destroy anybody because being normal means conforming to society’s expectations for the norm that everyone should strive for instead of being ourselves, so they force themselves to not act like their true selves in order to please society even though, in the irony of it all, normal does not exist. Same for perfection. There’s no such thing because every pony is different from one another and no pony can be perfect. Anyway, yeah, it a matter of literal destruction and metaphorical destruction basically:D Yay! Lol! 20)   And then we get more Fluttershy cuteness in form of her doing whatever it took to be chaotic in order to bring back Discord’s form and chaotic ness:

Particularly, my favorite part of that whole sequence was where Fluttershy starts to play with the still couch like it was a puppy and says that Discord would do that because he’s funny like that:3 And then we see Discord adorably and softly chuckling in the back as if saying “Daww, she’s so cute”<3

21)   And then finally, we get to my two top favorite scenes from the entire episode: The Fluttershy speech scene and the ending scene (note to self, make myself some butterfly shaped sandwichesJ Yum!):

Speaking of the Fluttershy’s speech, does this mean we have a good grasp on how Fluttershy’s feelings for Discord? Did I get the answer I want for my question about Fluttershy’s feelings into the matter of Discord? Well, I like to think it’s a good startJ Not only in terms of letting the audience knows how Fluttershy feels in the relationship, but also the start of her growing feelings for DiscordJ Just like how Discord’s feelings for Fluttershy had to start from somewhere and grow into something more than friendship, probably either or during or on “Keep Calm and Flutter On” & “Three’s A Crowd”, Fluttershy is slowly going through the same thing. To me, her speech is showing Fluttershy slowly revealing signs of seeing Discord as a friend equal to the level of her friendship with the Mane Six, but of seeing Discord as her best friend and potentially something more of a best friend but of a romance that can be built from a best friend status. Much like how Discord’s feelings for Fluttershy, in my opinion, stems from him seeing Fluttershy as his best friend. And he still does. But the best friend title also does come with feelings. Much like Discord, Fluttershy is unaware of these new, budding, slowly building feelings inside her<3

It’s funny, her speech speaks to what was already established, what we already know and what we Fluttercord shippers have always theorized, but at the same time, the way its framed feels new, refreshing and adds a little something new to what we thought about Fluttershy and how she sees Discord <3 And I think it because of these two lines “We might not make sense to them, but we make sense TO ME.” And “The point is, I LIKE YOU BECAUSE you’re so different from me.” Firstly, Fluttershy acknowledges in the same way Discord does that they don’t make sense to others, but they don’t matter, what matters is well the two of them and their relationship and how they see their relationship and each other. Like Discord, Fluttershy just sees her and him and nothing more than that when they are together. The perspective of others only matter is when somepony’s perspective gets in the way of their relationship like the whole Tirek incident/Tirek’s influence on Discord in the S4 finale. Secondly, this is the first time Fluttershy says she LIKES Discord:D She likes Discord!:D Squeeee! Up to this point, Discord has been using and emphasizing the “L” word;) And so far, this season has been emphasizing the use and significance of the “L” word like in the Big Mac X Sugar Belle shipping episodeJ And the fact that Fluttershy not only used the “L” word, but she paused and took the time to emphasize the “L” word:3 Squeeee!

This Fluttercord episode, like other Fluttercord episodes before it, not only moves the relationship forward and allowing it to grow to new levels, but also: 1) this is the first Fluttercord episode that solely, and I mean solely, focuses on Fluttershy and Discord. Usually, most Fluttercord episodes does have this focus on Fluttercord at its core but it also has the involvement of tons of other characters, usually and always involving the Mane six in some but still significant capacity. Fluttershy and Discord are the big characters in this episode and the episode knows it and it is not afraid to embrace that:D That’s why this episode was sooo cute and soooo full of Fluttercord, they were the main stars of the show and defined the true definition of a Fluttercord episode<3! Sure Pinkie and a couple of ponies were there, but they were just cameos. Now, some would say its mainly Discord and I agree, Discord mainly takes up the time, but I still think him and Fluttershy were the main characters together<3 Its like the Map episodes with the pairings of the Mane Six, the two ponies on the quest are the stars of the showJ Same thing here, only more shippy and romantic and slice of life:3 Lol! The point is their dynamic is so strong for the fans and the writers to see that now Fluttershy and Discord can carry an episode on their own without any problems; 2) this episode was sooo cute that even non Fluttercord shippers are even calling this episode cute and they’re liking/loving this episode like Fluttercord shippers are right nowJ Well, their enjoyment for the episode might be different from what the Fluttercord shippers are enjoying from the episode, but despite knowing it is a Fluttercord episode, bronies are not minding that aspect of the episode and enjoying the dynamic between Fluttershy and Discord regardless of the possible shipping implicationsJ; 3) bronies reacting to this episode do actually see the Fluttercord implications this time!:D It’s not like with “Make New Friends but Keep Discord” where only the Fluttercord shippers saw the Fluttercord moments in that episode. No! This time, finally, bronies can see the Fluttercord moments and Fluttercord ness of this episode!:D Finally! Oh my Celestia, finally!

However, one reaction to this episode brought up a slight concern for me. In this reaction, at least in the beginning, the guy mentioned how he doesn’t want his comment section just flooded with Fluttercord shippers saying “It’s canon now! Fluttercord is canon you guys!”. In fact, he strictly prohibits it or at least tries to do so.

I did see some comments like that whenever I see S6 finale episode scenes or “Make New Friends But Keep Discord” scenes on Youtube, but the majority of those Fluttercord comments weren’t just about the canon-ness of the couple now but rather how cute the moments are or how perfect Discord and Fluttershy are for each other or just how cute they are together or things like that. And usually, from what I’ve seen, these comments haven’t started any shipping war fights in the comment section or anything like that or Fluttercord shippers trying to prove the canon status of Fluttercord to other bronies. Usually, I read the tone of these comments as Fluttercord excitement and squee and nothing more, meaning nothing beyond that and that’s it. And I’ve seen it on Fluttercord forum chats of course, but that’s usual of course because it’s a Fluttercord forum chat base. BUT, I can see where this reactor may be coming from. I think there are Fluttercord shippers who do think Fluttercord is officially canon because of the S6 finale and this episode. BUT, he is misinterpreting their tone I think. I don’t think they’re bragging about it or trying to rub it in other shippers faces or things like that. I think they’re excited and fan girling or boying out and their tone is hard to understand because this excitement can be hard to convey over the internet in the comments section. I think this episode doesn’t make Fluttercord canon by any means and there are Fluttercord shippers who feel that Fluttercord is still not canon yet. True, me and the rest of the Fluttercord fan base hope and have good basis to believe that it has a good basis to be canon someday, but that’s not a guaranteed thing due to the nature of the show and the uncertainly that surrounds the writers in terms of what they ship. BUT, this reactor has a good point. My warning for Fluttercord shippers out there: be careful or make an effort to not make comments about Fluttercord being canon. Even on Fluttercord chat forums and such because until Fluttershy and Discord mutually admit to each other that they love each other in the show and confirm this relationship with each other in a very obvious way, Fluttercord is not canon. Excitement over shipping can be hard for others to interpret on the internet, so for the best interest of all, maybe limit to your comments to just being about how cute Discord and Fluttershy together in a scene or things like thatJ If this is a problem on Youtube and there are comments by Fluttercord shippers that are stirring up trouble like the reactor feared, let me know because I and many Fluttercord shippers, boy that’s the last thing we want for our fan base because that’s not we’re all about at all. Just like the show itself, we’re about love and tolerance and friendship with all MLP fans <3 I mean we have Fluttercord shippers who also ship Dislestia too in our fan base for Pete’s sake. Sorry, I’m worried that this might become a problem. But, most likely it won’t because it’s been awhile since the episode premiered and so far I haven’t been hearing of any controversy like that. So, yay no controversy!:D

Another nitpick I can see someone saying is that this episode is a little Fluttercord fanfic in its structure, and yeah, I can kinda see that but at the same time, I can more or less see a Fluttercord fanfic like this just going straight from Discord inviting Fluttershy to his tea party then immediately to Discord’s house with a Mister Rogers Discord and we just skip over the whole Discord freaking out stuffXD The reason why I say that cause I’m one of those writers who is just so tempted in just doing that for the sake of FluttercordXD Lol! I still think its very much typical canon writing for the show, but that’s just me, but then again, I can see the other side of it because this episode takes its time to set up the conflict for the character like a fanfic would do. I don’t know whether that’s a compliment for MLP fanfic writers or no because I personally like how the structure of the story helped create a sense of build leading to the conflictXD Lol!

But, as perfect as this episode was in my eyes, this episode is rated as my guaranteed second favorite episode of Season 7. Now, all of you must be saying “WHAT?! SOMETHING TOP THE FLUTTERCORD EPISODE?!” Yes, something did and for a very good reason. That’s right y’all, I’m talking about The Perfect Pear <3

Why this episode is my automatic favorite for the season and probably will stay on top until I do my rating at the end of the season? This episode embraces all of what MLP does best, but at the same time, goes beyond what MLP usually does in the best possible way<3 Here let me explain scene by scene, kinda, trust me it’ll make sense in the breakdown:

1)      First, let’s talk about Grand Shatner, oh wait sorry, Grand PearJ

But in all honesty, I didn’t know Shatner was coming in this episode untill I saw credits:0! Especially for this kind of role!:0 (No offense Mr. Shatner) All that I can say is…Mr. Shatner, all my bravos <3 You perfectly voiced this Southern, emotional, sensitive, flawed, but tender and gentle character from a young stallion to the elderly Grand Pear Pear <3 I was deeply impressed by his performance because most of the work I’ve seen from him are always on a comedic side. Keep in mind that I have not seen the old Star Trek and Shatner’s performance in that. If I did, I would have probably seen a performance like this I can imagine. A performance that truly shows Shatner’s talent and ability as an actor. I’m so glad that William Shatner loves MLP and I hope the writers bring Grand Pear back for future episodes, maybe hopefully for an episode and scene with Grand Pear meeting Discord;) Wink wink, nudge nudge;)

2)      Breakfast for dinner: it is both the best kind of dinner and breakfast or meal of any time of the day;) Enough said;)

3)      I think some fans are over-looking the subtle sadness and bitter sweet tone surrounding Granny Smith’s character in this episode. As much as Grand Pear bears guilt for the Apple and Pear feud and separation due to his stubborn-ness and pride and short sighted-ness, but Granny does too for the same and exact reasons. The only difference between the two is that Granny took in Pear Butter/Buttercup and Bright Mac after the wedding when Grand Pear didn’t. But still deep down, Granny knows that the separation between Pear Butter and her father, the separation between the apples and the pears, was just as much as her doing as Grand Pear’s. And this wound gets deeper with the fact that the parents have pasted now. Pear Butter can never reunite with her father and her family, and I think Granny sees this as her fault solely. This conflict beautifully begins the framing of the bittersweet tone of the episode, its conflict, the emotional journey that the character has to go through, and the tragic flaws of the Apple Family. And the fact that this all has to be told through Applejack and Big Mac at the beginning with just a few words is really heartbreaking.

Oh man, I wasn’t expecting this Romeo and Juliet being told through this kind of format, and I think this was the episode’s way of making this old cliché fresh and new by bringing in this realistic, sincere, story telling because, based on personal experience, this is how I learned about family members. Through the stories of others, especially by other family members. And I love how I wasn’t expecting to see Mrs. Cake in the mix, especially not expecting to actually learn her name!:D But my favorite character in this episode had to be Burnt Oak<3

He was just a sweet and approachable stallion, with such a tender voice to match. Again, I wasn’t expecting some pony like him to come in for this episode, and I loved his inclusion because it lead to this scene:

This scene was my favorite out of the episode, and the most emotional moment for me because it’s so important for boys and men to have positive male role models to look up to and talk to<3 Especially if they are missing a father figure in their life like Big Mac for instance. Even though Big Mac has great female role models to learn from, but it’s still important for boys to have a positive male presence as well<3 And I couldn’t think of a more positive male role model for Big Mac to follow than Burnt Oak<3 I hope we see more fanfics and episodes with Burnt Oak and Big Mac together<3 This scene was so short yet potent<3

5)      Another big thing that made this Romeo and Juliet fresh and new and wonderful was the couple of the hour- Bright Mac and Pear Butter<3

Squeee, I ship these two:3! Big shocker there;) Every pony in the fandom is!:D But I think the reason why their romance works so well is because 1) they’re opposites yet still down to earth and believable. I don’t mean just because they’re apple and pear and they’re only opposites in that sense. Pear Butter is the soft spoken, gentle, beautiful, country girl next door; while Bright Mac, oh man God bless Bright Mac, he’s a sweet, down to earth, but complete smart aleckXD Lol! Oh my gosh I love smart aleck characters because I’m such a smart aleckXD Second, their romance had to build and grow from a genuine and sincere place. And what better place to start than childhoodJ

My only nitpick with this super adorable scene is, and this is my only nitpick for this beautiful episode, is that foal Pear Butter and Bright Mac sound like adults alreadyXD

Anyway, their relationship slowly but surely and sweetly grows from a simple crush in their foal years and their teenage years, into warm and genuine love in their adult years<3 Which leads into, not only my favorite song of the season for sure and can’t be topped, but one of my favorite songs for my list of favorite MLP songs “You’re In My Head Like a Catchy Song”

The singing, the visuals, the lyrics<3 Especially the lyrics because we have a nice tie in with the title of the episode with the whole “the perfect pair” line<3 And then this reminded me of how this episode can kinda pointed to the whole Pear Butter needing to be the perfect pear for her father, but in the end can’t do it, and it shows how Grand Pear is not the perfect pear either. And I think this sentiment can apply to both the Pear and Apple family. Especially the Apple family. For a long time, we the fans have seen how the Apple Family can be the perfect family. But in this episode, we’ve seen how even a great family like the Apple family can have tragic flaws. But that doesn’t mean we love them less or think less of them. The conflict was perfectly set up for this Romeo and Juliet scenario but not too over the top like it could be for stories like this because the feud is started by how similar Grand Pear and Granny are to each other. It was started by their pride, stubbornness, and competitiveness. Because they forgot that friendship is magic and that they are all kin in this little town of Ponyville, they got so carried away by their pride and stubbornness that they got caught up in a feud in where they don’t know where it started. And this feeling carried on to both of their families. It’s crazy, I’ve always wondered why the Apple Family orchard was so big. I mean, I know orchards have to be big, but still, I always thought it was just too huge to be just an orchard of apples. But after seeing this episode, my mind was blown by the fact that it’s huge because there used to be two farms on this land:0 And when the Pears left, the Apples took over their land:0 Is this a wild thought to anyone or just me?!:0

Anyway, the Pear Butter and Bright Mac gets tested by having the Pear family move away. What I really appreciate in this moment is that as much as Pear Butter loves Bright Mac and wants to stay, unlike Shakespeare’s Juliet, Pear Butter loves her family and she knows she still has to stay and stick with them<3 Showing us the audience that at the end of the day, family is still the most important thing. Just like how love is the most important thing. And then Bright Mac shows that as much as he wants Pear Butter to stay and continue their romance, he doesn’t want to separate Pear Butter from her family. By proposing and marrying Pear Butter, he lets her and the audience know that by embracing their love and uniting it in holy matrimony, it brings the two families together and makes the Apple family part of Pear Butter’s family. Which is both what these two have always wanted<3 Thus, the most romantic proposal and wedding scene in media ever <3

Its not about picking sides. It was never about that and it should have never been about that. But Grand Pear thought she was choosing a side and that’s why he disowned her. And this was the last time he ever saw his daughter before she passed:’( And he had never forgave himself after that:’( Man, this has to be the realest scene that MLP has ever done. It was so emotionally potent, raw, hard, and tragic. Despite it first coming from a place of happiness just a few minutes ago. This definitely surpasses the tragedy of the original Romeo and Juliet story by far. 6)      However, despite all the sadness, guilt, and heaviness, the Apple Family and Pear family could finally be reunited by having the Apple siblings forgive their grandfather, by having their grandfather apologize to them and Granny Smith, by having Granny Smith apologizing, and of course…by having that beautiful Apple Pear tree that Pear Butter and Bright Mac planted together grow into a beautiful tree<3

So yeah, need I say more?;) This episode was a beautiful episode about loved ones passing away, family, forgiveness, and of course love. Not only can the MLP staff can tell these kind of stories to children on TV, but they can do it in Aces and in revolutionary ways. Now of course the added fact that we’ve wanted years for the parents to show up and prove our head canons to be true or not true helped without a doubt, but it did give us something we didn’t expect. At least, what I didn’t expect for sure. I hope this beautiful story of love can encourage the writers to continue with this trend because without a doubt this proves to me that they can write romance. And I mean good romance. Funny thing I noticed was Pear Butter and Bright Mac only kissed once they got married;) They couldn’t kiss anytime before;) So does that mean that if Fluttercord becomes canon, they can just say “I love you” to each other but no kissing until they’re married?;) LOL SO HARD!XD

Ooohhh, I see. That makes sense. Not that all Dislestia fans are like this, but given the fact that I haven't seen such aggressive YouTube comments from Fluttercord fans as he described, his shipping preference just might be factor like you said. Because there’s so many moments that I love in this episode and that there is so much Fluttercord scenes to go over, its time for Missy’s Fluttercord play-by-play lighting round!:D (Oh boy, this is going to be a long one, probably the longest string of Fluttercord moments in the show so farJ Victory! I mean the whole episode is just one big Fluttercord moment, but I’m going to highlight my favorites)

Well, time for some shipper fuel. *Pushes in a huge boatload of empty oil drums* Fill her up!

*Laughs and shrugs* What more can I say regarding this episode? I think you covered it all pretty nicely. I got a huge dosage of Fluttercord fuel. I'm happy.

Oh, and I just thought back to that bit in Return of Harmony when Fluttershy referred to Discord as a big dumb meanie. *Laughs and shakes head* Oh, if she only knew that in a couple years that big dumb meanie would pretty much be worshiping the ground she walked on. *Laughs* Talk about revenge. Good thing neither of them seem to view their current situation that way.

And it's so sweet/cute that Discord has gone from scornfully dismissing the whole tea party thing back when he betrayed her in Season 4 to overstressing himself trying to make it perfect for her. Think that memory of how quickly he threw their friendship away before might be part of why he's so freaked out at the thought that she might decide to end it? (*Chuckles* Well, to be fair, that's sort of where he is now in TPwPwF so maybe I'm projecting.)

*Chuckles* And I'm probably in the minority on this, but I think I liked Discordant Harmony more than The Perfect Pear. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed The Perfect Pear and think it might be technically better storywise, but if I had to choose between the two episodes, I'll take the Odd Couple.

*Chuckles* I'm probably the only one who had this reaction, but I mentally squawked when I saw Pear Butter's design because her coat color was actually the same shade I was going for with Pink Pearl (it came out darker in my concept art because I didn't have a colored pencil in that color) minus the pink patches, and the pink tinge in her mane and tail. And they've both got blue eyes. That was so freaky to see because I swear I didn't intend for their color schemes to come out so similar when I designed Pink Pearl.

Haha lol more than just revenge, it's more like sweet irony for the audience and kinda sweet irony for them cause now they are in a relationshipXD ^^ Haha lol it's good thing that they don't think of each other that way anymoreXD Man, it really seems so long ago huh?;) XD

I like to think during that S4 finale that Discord, deep down, loved those tea parties<3 He just couldn't admit it to Flutters, or others, or even himselfXD He only trash talked the tea parties in the episode in order to show Tirek that he is ready to do whatever it takes to take over Equestria, stay true to his partnership with Tirek, and in a way lie to himself so that way it's easier on himself to give up his friendship with Fluttershy in order to pursue the freedom of chaos (which he thought at the time he thought it was something he really wanted and needed. But he soon learned that it was his love, I mean "friendship" with/for Fluttershy was the something he truly wanted and needed for sure. More than all the chaos and magic in all of Equestria<3 ). In terms of your story, yes he was...until he told her that he wuves her:3 Squee! I'll review soon, I promise;)
