Sorry for the delay in getting this week's chapter up, but this is the first time I've had to really sit down and make sure everything's spic and span. I also needed to watch a certain season finale.

Hey everyone, sorry about this delay and lack of communication. I am actually working on chapter 13 right now, quarantine has just put me in kind of a mood and so it's taking a bit longer. It honestly seems like it's been affecting a lot of my fellow artist friends, not just me, but I've been getting through it little by little every day. Well, I suppose when I say I am going to do something, I don't do it halfway. The past two days have seen a complete turn around for me. Music! Wine! Fine Food! And gardening! Yesterday I did miss my daily blog, but that was because THIS pony was out getting things done! I woke at five AM, and did-not-stop going until roughly eleven PM.

Paint The Moon Red was a story that came today with the input of many authors in the Quills and Sofas Speedwriting Server in December 2020. I started with the core concept and much of the general things Nightmare gets up to with specific ponies was brainstormed together.

“We’ll be dividing our group into two teams," Twilight continued. "Team A will consist of Donut, Simmons, Church, Caboose, Washington, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, and myself. We’ll go to the Crystal Empire and track down those ruins.”
“Um… Twilight? I have a question,” Fluttershy declared timidly. “If your team is going to the Crystal Empire to find the ruins… what’s the other team going to do?”
Nodding, Twilight turned towards the north end of the camp where the mountain towered overhead, and the commander of Whitewater waited with his hostages. “C’mon. We don’t have much time.” The others followed her.
“Just…” the sound of Gilda’s voice caused Twilight to look back over her shoulder. “Please… don’t kill the commander, okay?”
“Thank you, commander,” Twilight said as behind her, Washington, Simmons, and the Blues lowered their rifles.

Not long ago, Verbose offered (in a fit of drunken stupor no doubt) to draw an OC of my choice. Since I'm an opportunistic bloke, I suggested my personal favourite, Ribbon Red (from The Gift Shop, which remains one of my favourite stories that I wrote).
Of course, this was the worst OC I could have chosen for VM since I never really gave Ribbon a detailed, physical description. Because reasons.
