I've been working on a short survival horror book called year zero. One of the characters is a young girl who learns how to dual wield spears. The most hilarious part about it is I actually put my pony OCs into the story as plush toys attached to her weapons, so you basically have an 11 year old girl going around fighting clowns with MLP toys from 2000 to 2006. To me, that's hysterical.
So a future book idea, that i might write after this monsterotica hear me out.
It's modern-day, and a virus has taken over attacking humanity (Call it the Konus Virus) so the idea was that while a group of scientist, goes off and tries to find a cure cause its getting out of control they freeze a group of humans so that if they fail and humanity dies they can awaken a thousand years later where the virus would be dead and they can bring humanity back from the brink.
I realized I slacked off on the reviews of the new Equestria Girls books, but we're gonna get back on that horse real soon. I have both "Pinkie Pie and the Cupcake Calamity" and "the Starswirl Do Over."

My sister used to read the books that this series was based on to me as a kid, way back before I was old enough to read anything more than Hop on Pop or whatever. So I liked those books, I'd like to go back and read them sometimes, but I remember them being very funny and witty. So back when this series came out, I very much disliked it, because it's just a pretty different thing than how I remember the books. Instead of anything interesting, we are dragged through Theresa’s time at college. Boston College, to be exact. We are then treated to a whole page’s worth of infodump about BC which Boutin seems to have gleaned from the introductory paragraph on the college’s wikipedia page. So... yeah, I know I said I would try to step up with writing, but the truth is... aside from a few first days of 2022, I hadn't wrote at all.

Here’s a tip for anyone who decides to write a story with a first person narrative: the entire story happens from the perspective of the narrating character. This means that there’s no room for exposition to fill in any blanks that the character might not know about.
