"Yeah...I do."
I'm back to MLP-centric analysis for the revival issue of Worldbuilding Workout, and of one of my lesser talked about favorite characters, no less.
The moral of "Hearth's Warming Eve," both the holiday and the episode, is that the working class of every race have more in common with each other than they do with their respective tyrannical leaders.
It was on this very principle that the nation of Equestria was founded. The friendship of Clover the Clever, Smart Cookie, and Private Pansy was, in and of itself, an act of revolution.
(Spoilers abound. Because of their overall importance to the analysis, I will not be blocking them. If you have not read the fic yet, I'd suggest you do that first before reading this. Trust me, it's completely worth it.)

Simple question, why write about MLP? What does MLP offer compared to basically ever over franchise ever created? This is mostly my opinion on things since I obviously don't speak for everyone and it's just something I've always contemplated about.
Fast as lightning, sharp as a sword
Yep, I have a new story up! I wrote it last night (or really, early this morning) in about 2 or 3 hours, and I hardly took it seriously. It's a funny little read, so if you want, check it out.
We all know what will happen to it anyway.
Since I offered to do a review of Love and Tolerance, by Final_Draft, I originally planned to do a review encompassing several chapters. However, since the first chapter alone is 6k words, I'll just be going over the first chapter. Sorry if you would have preferred more. You better fuckin' follow me for this, Final_Draft. I slaved over making
Here's another review for someone who took a look at a story of mine quite a while back. I had to choose carefully which one I'd do a review of, and this is the story that appealed most to me. This is a review of "Spike, about your parents..." by Rammy. Remember, if you appreciated the effort that went into this review, it would mean a lot to me if you
I've had several tries writing something conclusive on Discord, trying to paint a complete picture of our favourite Lord of Chaos.
I couldn't make it work. For one thing, Discord is somewhat self-contradictionary, and, secondly, the topic is just. Too. Freaking. Big. For one post.
So, here we are, on the first part of what hopefully will be a series on Discord.
We'll start with something easy: His magic, herefrom for this purpose be called Chaos Magic.
In the hiatuses (Some part of me insists the plural should be hiati. It is not.) between seasons three and four as well as four and five, two movies featuring an alternate, parallel reality to Equestria inhabited by humanoid creatures were released under the name of Equestria Girls.
The parallel world featured in the movies is accessed from Equestria via a magical mirror dating back up to Star Swirl the Bearded.
Alright, I haven't done a blog review in a long time. For a while, I thought I was done with these, but then someone came to me directly and asked for one, so I decided to give it another whirl.
I'm also a sucker for followers.

Her passion is drawing circles. Her cutie mark is in writing haikus. These things are actually connected!
Kettle Corn's circles resemble ensō, a form of Zen Buddhist calligraphy in Japan. Haiku is a form of poetry that originated with Buddhist monks in Japan.
I was taking an Internet quiz a few minutes ago, and one of the questions leapt out at me, and lead me to a pony-related epiphany. (I hope you’ll bear with me as I explain how I got there).
The quiz asked:
All we officially know is that a moon is an arbitrary amount of time which according to Jayson Thiessen has no Earth equivalent. But is that really true?
Granting that a mysterious time scale can be used without much fear in storytelling as there's little chance of continuity error, there is precisely one reference in MLP canon that corresponds to an Earth equivalent, and it's likely the most innocuous comment one can imagine.
When first I saw School Daze (the Season 8 premiere), I thought, "who the buck is the Equestrian Education Administration" and why do they have so much power?" Rewatching it now almost three years later, I find myself thinking the exact same thing.
Fun Fact: Unicorns, earth ponies, and pegasi are meant to be friends.
Don't believe me? Watch My Little Pony: A New Generation for incontrovertible evidence.
This is science.

This song has quite the profile for imagery and story telling, and with the added visuals of her music video the lyrics and movie re-enact two stories in one. So then... Shall we begin?
