SeXcElLeNt!
(Since you motherfu--*ahem* gentlepersons don't bother looking at the tags: don't ask what this is from, I have no idea.)
WRITING UPDATE: Next chaper of Comes a Crossover is one big-ass fight scene away from being ready for posting. Only hiccup is that I MUST DO RESEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEARCH! before I can finish it, which will take most of the night/a good part of tomorrow. So expect it sometime tomorrow...ish.
I'd like to preface this by saying that I assembled this little document to go with a story I recently posted. Memory of Forever. I encourage you to avoid looking at it until you've read that story all the way to the end--it will link to and also include spoilers.
Time for me to make another tech rant...
There's a new IoT technology out there, called Matter. You may have heard about it.
It promised to make all your smart tech work together and not need the cloud or all these hubs.
Then it launched. Everyone still seems to ask you to use their own app anyway, you still need hubs in your home, it still uses the cloud, and you might be wondering what happened.
I'm finally getting back into the community after Covid burned out my central-nervous-system over 2 years ago, and I'd like to promote my long-time favorite social network, which I'm excited to see taking off, Mastodon! Y'all should try it! It's open source, non-profit, community run, and unequivocally the best social media experience I've ever had!
Follow me on Mastodon at @Raccoon@Pony.Social.
Ocellus: Babe, tell Silverstream that I'm the one that pulls off blonde hair the best!
Smolder: Uh...
Silverstream: You're looking at the one who pulls off blonde hair the best!
Ocellus: You're right.
SIlverstream: Th-
Ocellus: Cause' I can see my fucking reflection in your bright ass hair!
*later*
Smolder, sitting up in the bed next to Ocellus: I still don't know what I expected.
Donald Trump won.
Blog Number 69: A Coronavirus Update Edition
It's important to remember: a virus is not your only enemy in an outbreak. Some people will take advantage of the uncertainty and panic (and even altruism) to scam you. Stay safe online by following the W.H.O.'s guidelines below!
Blog Number 70: Coronavirus Fund Edition
Just a brief message this time, because this info might have been buried somewhat in the previous blog post.
I also want to let people know there is a way to donate safely to the World Health Organization if you want to. That's the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund. A link directly to the official site is included below:
Since it gets brought up a lot these days, I'd find it fascinating to know: how do these two viruses compare? Say, on death rates? What sort of numbers are we talking about here?
First, a few clarifications, and then the numbers themselves. Please note that all this is for casual purposes only: this is not an official analysis!
